Whoopi Goldberg sets her sights on Wheel of Fortune
Whoopi Goldberg wastes no time getting shot!
After years of captivating audiences with her wit and charm on “The View,” the actress is now setting her sights on a new challenge: hosting the beloved game show “Wheels of Fortune.” With his unparalleled comedic timing and past experience hosting game shows, being on the long-running program could be a big treat for fans.
Whoopi Goldberg’s goal is to take over the wheel of fortune
The Hollywood icon wasted no time throwing her hat in the ring for the coveted role of the show’s next host on Tuesday’s episode of “The View.” He openly expressed his hidden ambitions when brought up by Alyssa Farah Griffin, stating:
“Another legendary game show host, Pat Sajak, just announced his retirement from Wheel of Fortune at the end of next season.”
Before “Danger”! When host Ken Jennings was asked what he thought of the news, the 67-year-old enthusiastically chimed in: “I want that job! I think it would be a lot of fun.”

In a light-hearted moment, Goldberg’s co-host Joy Behar playfully joined the conversation, suggesting, “And you know what? Sara (Haines) and I could be Vanna White. We take turns going back and forth!”
Goldberg’s surprising interest came less than 24 hours after Sajak dropped a bombshell on Monday evening, in a tweet, he announced his retirement after a distinguished career of four decades. The 76-year-old wrote:
“Well, the time has come. I have decided that our 41st season starting in September will be our last. It’s been an amazing journey and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Thank you all so much. (If nothing else, it will take the clickbait pages!)
Despite the anticipation surrounding the announcement, the news of the American TV personality’s retirement still hit his devoted fans, who remained loyal to Wheel of Fortune primarily because of his presence.
A fan expressed their heartfelt feelings“It honestly brings tears to my eyes to think that Pat Sajac (sic) will no longer be the host of Wheel of Fortune. What iconic moments have you experienced? Here’s a picture of buddy Judy talking about life with Pat.
Another person tweeted in disbelief: shouted, “Wtf. Take it back immediately,” accompanied by a gif of a woman crying hysterically. A third fan expressed a sense of nostalgia and acknowledged the significance of Sajak’s departure. stating:
“Wow – I never thought this day would come, even though it’s logically inevitable. You, Vanna & the Wheel, are an institution. It will be the end of an era.”

Offering a positive perspective, the award-winning game show host’s daughter Maggie Marie joined the comments, highlighting her enjoyment of working with her father and expressing the upcoming 41st season.
The “Airplane II: The Sequel” guest star’s retirement has been a long time coming
Last year, The Blast reported that the former Armed Forces Radio disc jockey is apparently considering retirement after being on the show since 1981. The voice-over artist revealed that he is likely to retire long before the popular series comes to an end. Reflecting on the show’s enduring popularity, Sajak said:
“Most television shows at this point would have said, ‘probably enough,’ but this show is not going to die. Looks like I can go before the show.”
Admitting that time flies, the former meteorologist admitted: “The years go by quickly,” he admitted. “We are nearing the end. It’s been a long time). We won’t do this for another 40 years. The end is near.”
The former guest teenage DJ of “WLS radio” also thought about the privilege of being a part of people’s lives for a longer time. He expressed his thoughts, “It’s an honor to have been in people’s living rooms for so long. People welcomed us outside. We are happy and proud.”
While Sajak won’t be able to continue hosting “Wheel of Fortune” indefinitely, he and Vanna White excitedly took over the spotlight for the highly anticipated Season 3 premiere of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.”
