The return of Disney meal plans

Disney Dining Plans have been one of the most popular additions to Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages; however, due to the ongoing pandemic, Disney has suspended the dining plan.
Fortunately, Disney has announced the return of Disney Dining Plans for guests staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package. The meal plan will return starting January 9, 2024. “We know our guests – and especially families – have been missing meal plans that offer guests the convenience and peace of mind of pre-paying for meals and snacks,” Disney announced. .
Additionally, guests can choose from two popular options: the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan.
Guests can begin booking the Disney Dining Plan with Disney World Resort packages opening May 31, 2023.
Disney Genie+ simplified

Built directly into the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps, the Disney Genie service, which launched in October 2021 at Walt Disney World in Florida and December 2021 at Disneyland in California, helps guests maximize their parking time by helping them map out everything from rides to dining reservations.
In addition to the free Genie service, Disney also offers a paid Disney Genie+ service that ranges from $15 to $35 per person, depending on when guests visit Walt Disney World or Disneyland. Individual Lightning Lane service is available for an additional fee, allowing guests to make appointments at the Lightning Lane entrance each day to arrive at highly sought-after attractions.
To use the Disney Genie+ or Lightning Lane service, guests had to choose on the day of their Park Visit, which frustrated many. Disney has listened to its guests and announced that they will soon be making changes to the app that will “simplify” the service.
“We’ve heard from our guests that they want to plan with Disney Genie+ and individual Lightning Lane choices before the day of their park visit, and we want you to know that we’re working to make sure guests can do that in 2024. ” – stated Disney in its statement. “Our goal is to spend less time planning in the park and more time visiting with friends and family. While we cannot share specific details yet, we hope to share more information at a later date.”
