Although the story of the latest installment is not yet known to the public, it has been confirmed that writer Chris Bremner is responsible for the script.
The two people responsible for directing the third film, Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, would also handle the fourth. News of Hudgens’ involvement in the film, which is in pre-production at Sony Pictures, was confirmed by Deadline on Tuesday.

The label did not provide further details about the actress’ return, instead focusing on the focus highlighting the rest of the crew, including Smith (Westbrook), Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Belgrad and Chad Oman as background producers. In addition to his role as Detective Marcus Miles Burnett, Lawrence would also serve as an executive producer alongside James Lassiter, Barry Waldman, Mike Stenson and Jon Mone.
Meanwhile, El Arbi and Fallah recently directed and co-wrote the action drama “Rebel,” which tells the story of a family torn apart over the future of a Muslim boy.
