UFC Fighters take over Barry’s Downtown Prime inside Circa Las Vegas
UFC weekend meant that Downtown Las Vegas it was full of MMA fighters ready to hang out, relax and throw down a bunch of beef!
One of the newest properties on Fremont Street, Around Las Vegasit’s home to one of the city’s most respected steakhouses, and plenty of famous fighters have been spotted chomping down a bunch of steaks.
Jamahal Hill, the current UFC welterweight champion, paid a visit Barry’s Downtown Prime for a celebratory dinner with UFC and MMA friends Joaquin Buckley, Jessica Penne, Phil Davis, Angela Hill and Alyse Anderson.
Jamahal began his MMA career in 2017 and made his UFC debut in 2020. Hill also won “Fight of the Night” in the same bout where he won his first championship belt. Glover’s fight against Teixeira was a huge moment in his career, with the most significant punches landed and attempted in one fight in the history of the UFC’s welterweight division.
UFC Star starts with a celebrity chef in Las Vegas!

Chef Barry S. Dakake knew the UFC superstar had a lot to celebrate when he came in for dinner. At the table, they enjoyed a chilled clam chowder filled with the most delicious seafood imaginable. A Maine lobster, king crab legs, oysters and a jumbo shrimp cocktail are just a few of the accompanying options.
In another part of the restaurant, UFC sensations Brian Ortega and Michael Chiesa dined with their friends and family. Brian and a group of close friends sat at a table near Michael and his wife, Kelsi Jo Chiesa. Michael posted a video of the dry-aged New York sirloin to his Instagram story, saying “there’s no better place to eat in Vegas” than Barry’s.

After a delicious and filling dinner, their host for the evening is Circa Executive Richard Wilk, brought all the fighters together to visit the Celebrity Chef and co-owner Yassine Lyobi in the kitchen for a tour, photos and a fun face-off. The team smiled and posed with the champion of Barry’s Downtown Prime!
Best of all, Jamahal showed the chef his championship belt when the pair decided to face off in the kitchen. Chef Barry never broke eye contact as he grabbed his own version of the championship belt, the platter on which the steaks are served.
That’s not all…Jessica Penne, competing in the women’s strawweight division, visited Barry’s steakhouse to fuel up for her bout this weekend. We’re told Barry likes that these fighters know they can count on him to get them ready for the big match. Jessica gave her a big hug to show her appreciation for the incredible dinner she made in the kitchen.

Many other fighters such as Raul Rosas Jr. and Brandon Moreno, dined at Barry’s restaurant the next night, along with music mogul Steve Rifkind. Steve is the founder and president of Loud Records and SRC Records, two record labels home to some of hip hop’s most popular groups. The music mogul is well known for launching the careers of hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan, Three 6 Mafia and Mobb Deep among many others.
Steve was celebrating his birthday with his girlfriend, Aliyah Autry, and the couple knew they had to catch up with Rifkind’s old friend and Circa Exec, Richard Wilk, during the night out. Chef Barry and Richard, who catered to all the UFC fighters, even found time to chat with the couple about their meal and plans for the weekend.

Bottom line… you never know who you’re going to see at this celebrity hotspot, as Circa Resort and Barry’s Downtown Prime have become prime locations for many UFC stars and athletes!
