The “Bachelorette” star said she called her dad often to help pay for dates with Hadid and that she didn’t have a credit card and was just hoping hers would keep slipping. He also talked about “Bachelor Nation” living on Matt James’ bean bag.

Tyler Cameron gets candid about struggling with money while dating Gigi Hadid
Tyler Cameron, a former contestant on season 15 of “The Bachelorette,” recently opened up about dating one of the top models in the world, especially since he only had $200 in his bank account. Cameron dated Gigi Hadid between August and October 2019 and recently spoke about the experience on Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast.
Tartick shared a conversation with Cameron in which the reality TV star opened up about her financial situation. “He (Tyler) comes up to me, ‘Dude, I don’t know what the hell I’m doing,'” Tartick said. Insider. “I have $5,000 in my bank account. I don’t know what my next job will be and I’m dating Gigi Hadid. In response, Cameron corrected him, saying: “Not even $5,000; I had about $200.”
He needed his father’s help to pay for his dates
The reality star opened up about her early finances in the Big Apple, sharing that she squatted with fellow Bachelor Nation alum Matt James. “This was in the early days of life in New York. I live on Matt’s bean bag. He added: “I have no money, but I’m the happiest I’ve ever been because the world is open to me in New York. I can do whatever I want.”
While Cameron fondly reminisced about that time, he recalled a few times when he needed financial help to finance dates with Hadid. “I remember going on a date and like calling Pops in the bathroom,” she shared. “I think Pops, I don’t think my credit card will go through.” Send me some money right now. And he says you got it son. Go get it!”
He also revealed that at the time he only had a debit card and was unfamiliar with credit cards. “I have a plain debit card, so if it hits zero, it hits zero, you know. So I’m just crossing my fingers, hoping it slips, and it just kept sliding,” he said.
Tyler Cameron’s Dating History
After his relationship with Hadid ended, Cameron was romantically involved with Kendra Camila from January 2021 to August 2021, and briefly dated model Paige Lorenzo in the summer of 2022.
He was spotted kissing Kristin Cavallari at a New Year’s Eve party, although Cavallari later clarified that they were just friends and nothing serious happened between them.
While Cameron has previously shared his story of bumping into Matt James’ bean bag when he first arrived in New York, he admitted last summer that they aren’t as close as they used to be, mainly because of his relationship with Rachel Kirkconnell.
Tyler Cameron founded his construction company
Cameron has certainly come a long way since his early days in New York. The “Bachelorette” star founded his construction company in 2021.
In a 2021 YouTube video, the 30-year-old shared that he wants to follow in his father’s footsteps in home building. He noted that construction is his “passion” and wants to grow his business in his hometown. Cameron said per People magazine“I’m starting to dig my roots here in Jupiter, building my own company, building my own houses.”
In addition to her entrepreneurial and reality TV roles, Cameron also serves as co-founder and ambassador for ABC Food Tours. This non-profit organization aims to help children living in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
