“Top Chef” reveals Kristen Kish will be the new host, replacing Padma Lakshmi
As previously reported by The Blast, Padma Lakshmi announced her exit from the hit reality franchise in June. He was part of the show for 17 years and 19 seasons. He first joined the show in Season 2 and served as an executive producer.
Kish won Season 10 of the Bravo series. He later served as a guest judge on several occasions. Season 21 is set in Wisconsin, primarily in Milwaukee and Madison. Judges for season 21 will include Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons.

In a video statement to Bravo about her new host appointment, Kish said, “I am very excited to be returning to ‘Top Chef’ as your new host. Season 10 was a long time ago. I competed at the time, and have since returned as a guest judge.” He continued: “Coming back in this new way is new and exciting. It’s familiar, too, and it feels like a homecoming and a full-circle moment for me.”
Kish added, “I’m most excited to meet an incredible group of chefs, to sit next to Tom and Gail, and to be reunited with many of my friends on and off the production. So I’m at a loss for words, still a little, but I promise I’ll find them in Season 21 as we all get to meet an incredible new team of chefs all competing for the title of Top Chef. So see you in season 21.”
