Tom Holland has revealed plans to take a year off from acting

Tom Holland revealed that she is ready to take a break from the silver screen. The actor has been in the spotlight in recent years, appearing in several Marvel franchise films and the action thriller ‘Uncharted’.

The movie star is now looking to take a year off from acting as her latest role in the new AppleTV mini-series has left her ‘broken’. Dubbed “The crowded room,” the dark psychological thriller will be released on the streaming service later this week.

Tom Holland is taking a year off from acting

is talking to ExtraTVHolland, who is in a relationship with Euphoria star Zendaya, shared that he took a year off from acting.

He revealed that he faced a “tough time” with the decision while filming the psychological thriller “The Crowded Room.”

Recalling his time on set, the actor also admitted that the show “broke” him, pointing out that he had to “explore certain emotions that I definitely hadn’t experienced before.”

In addition to the emotional strain, “dealing with the day-to-day problems associated with film sets as a producer meant extra pressure” on the actor.

Despite all of this, Holland stated that he is “excited to see how it will turn out” and feels that “the hard work has not been in vain”.

He added, per Daily Mail, “I really enjoyed. I loved the learning curve of becoming a producer. I am no stranger to hard work, I have always lived with the idea that hard work is good work. And I really enjoyed it.”

“The Crowded Room”

In the crowded room, Holland takes on the role of Danny Sullivan, a young man suspected of a horrific crime. As the story unfolds, he gradually uncovers the secrets of his vulnerable psyche during conversations with a female interrogator (Amanda Seyfried).

The series has reportedly been in development since 2021 under director Akiva Goldsman, who is known for his work on “Batman Forever” and “Batman & Robin;” is known for its continuation. “I Robot”; and “I’m a Legend.”

Inspired by the 1981 non-fiction book by Daniel Keyes The mind of Billy Milliganwhich focuses on the same personalities that Holland plays in the series.

The book’s narrative details how he eventually secured Milligan’s acquittal on the grounds of insanity after being arrested for several crimes. Throughout the court proceedings, he claimed that others were responsible for the crimes and insisted that he had no knowledge of his own crimes.

The series helped Tom Holland learn about mental health

In a separate interview, Holland noted that being on the series was very informative in terms of “his own life”.

“Learning about mental health and its power, and talking to psychiatrists about Danny (his character) and Billy’s struggles, has been very helpful in my own life,” she said. Entertainment Weeklygrayling Daily Mail.

Holland doubled down on his comment that the show will have the same effect on viewers.

He added: “I hope people feel they have learned about the power of mental health, the struggles and (and) our incredible survival skills.”

Just like in your interview with him Extra TVHolland noted that the film took an emotional toll on him.

“I’m no stranger to the physical aspect of the whole action movie thing,” he said. “But the mental aspect of it really took a toll on me and it took me a long time to recover and kind of come back to reality.”

Tom Holland and Zendaya’s PDA-filled journey

Away from acting, Holland is often seen hanging out with his girlfriend Zendaya.

They were photographed packing on the PDA during a trip to Venice last month. They were spotted exploring Venice’s canals on a romantic gondola ride, taking selfies and snapping pictures of each other against the city’s stunning backdrop.

Both stars dressed casually for the outing. Holland wore a blue denim jacket, black jeans and brown boots, while Zendaya wore a black tweed jacket, matching trousers and heeled boots.

The couple’s romantic relationship first came to light when they starred together in the Marvel/Sony film ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’. Since going public with their relationship, Zendaya and Holland have continued to flaunt their love and are sometimes seen together on the red carpet.
