This Weekend’s Live Concert HBO Special – Watch the Preview

The Grammy Award winner and star of HBO’s “The Idol” brings a cinematic concert experience to the living room.

The Weeknd has fans begging for Saturday, February 25th.

The acclaimed artist headlines a new concert special from his 2022 “After Hours” album tour, “The Weeknd: Live at SoFi Stadium,” debuting on HBO and HBO Max. The Weeknd, real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, kicked off his long-awaited opera tour with a completely cinematic experience for concertgoers, with a “Perry Mason”-like stage design, moon sacrifices and veiled women circling ritualistically in unison.

The spooky live show will soon be available at home, and The Weeknd is deepening his partnership with HBO ahead of the premiere of The Idol, in which he stars alongside Lily-Rose Depp.

“Experience the sold-out show like never before” is the special slogan of the original concert.

The concert special at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium was recorded during the first US leg of his ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ in 2022 and features the singer performing greatest hits from his latest studio albums, ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn’ FM.”

According to HBO, The Weekend will bring fans close to the sold-out crowd in Los Angeles with a concert performance with a special atmosphere. Capturing viewers on stage and in front of the audience, “The Weeknd: Live at SoFi Stadium” captured on film a front-row seat to the artist’s thrilling 95-minute set list – including “Starboy,” “Blinding Lights,” “Can” top hits. t Feel My Face, “I Feel It Coming” and more. With his dazzling dancers, spectacular lasers and explosive pyrotechnics, Grammy winner The Weeknd will bring down the house and your living room ahead of the artist’s highly anticipated star turn on the HBO Original drama series ‘The Idol.’

The Weeknd will debut on the New Jersey leg of the ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ tour in July 2022. The singer stars as a celebrity self-help guru who lures an aspiring pop star (Depp) to her party. swing, influence. The breathtaking trailer promises sex, drugs, cults and fame in the latest Sam Levinson (“Euphoria”) series.

The concert special is directed by Micah Bickham, performed by The Weeknd and produced by Contrast Films. The Weeknd also serves as executive producer with La Mar C. Taylor, Jordy Wax and director Bickham. The concert special is co-produced by Aaron Cooke.

“The Weeknd: Live at SoFi Stadium” premieres February 25 at 8pm on HBO and will also be available on HBO Max.
