The Night Agent has reached the Netflix Top 10, Ginny and Georgia are in the running
The Inventing Anna (Inventing Anna) limited series is now dangerously close to being a limited number on the Top 10 list of Netflix’s most popular (English) TV of all time.
“Ginny & Georgia” has been removed from Netflix’s top 10 English-language TV shows of all time. In just its third week, “The Night Agent” debuted at number nine on the streamer’s overall chart, “Inventing Anna” dropped to number 10, and “Ginny & Georgia” returned to number 20.
Another 130.48 million hours were watched in Week 3, with “Night Agent,” which premiered its first season on March 22, totaling 515.57 million hours, per Netflix. Total running time is tied for No. 8 between “The Witcher” Season 1 (541.01 million hours) and “Inventing Anna” limited series (511.92 million hours). Netflix has cut its all-time top 10 list after a show or movie’s first 28 days, meaning “Night Agent” has nine more days to top the chart.
Netflix’s most popular (English) television list now looks like this:

Netflix tracks English and non-English titles separately, through different lists; The most popular non-English series (and the most popular show overall, in any language) is “Squid Game,” which logged a whopping 1.65 billion hours during its fall 2021 premiere.
The thriller series “Night Agent” created by Shawn Ryan got off to a great start – which obviously continued. Counting just its first four days, the series topped the English TV show week with 168.71 million hours. That made it the third-biggest opening week for a brand-new Netflix show since the streamer began weekly tracking in June 2021; only “Wednesday” and “Dahmer” debuted better.
Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, “The Night Agent” follows FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), operator of the Night Operation, who falls into a government conspiracy. Also starring Hong Chau, Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoenix Raei, Enrique Murciano and DB Woodside, the show is executive produced by Ryan, Seth Gordon, Marney Hochman, Julia Gunn, Jamie Vanderbilt, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, Nicole Tossou and David Beaubaire. The series was already renewed for a second season.
Down a few spots, “Beef” bowed at number three on the chart with 34.08 million hours between April 3rd and April 9th. In movies, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston’s “Murder Mystery 2” topped English-language movies again, this time with only 60 million hours watched.
