Since his family shared the heartbreaking news of his health, celebrities and fans have started sending their well wishes to the 67-year-old. The Willis-Moore clan have revealed that their beloved patriarch has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) almost a year after officially retiring from acting. Willis retired from Hollywood to focus on treating his initial medical diagnosis of aphasia, which caused his communication skills to deteriorate.

During his time as a silver screen star, Willis has made many fans happy with his appearances in films like ‘Die Hard’ and ‘Moonlighting’. So many people were saddened by the news of his retirement and the medical diagnosis that led to the decision.

In another twist, Demi Moore — his wife from 1987 to 2000 — shared with her daughter Rummer Willis that the actor had been diagnosed with FTD, which has symptoms such as personality changes, obsessive behavior and speech difficulties. To make the announcement, the “General Hospital” actress posted a picture of a happy-looking Willis wearing a T-shirt and baggy shorts on the beach.

In the same vein, the family felt the need to update fans and followers on the ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ actor’s health as “we now have a better understanding of what he’s going through.” Moore wrote:

“Since announcing Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more accurate diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, communication challenges are only one symptom of the illness Bruce is facing. Although it is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

As expected, the news caught the attention of hundreds of people, more than 19 thousand people entered the comment section. “Brown’s Requiem” actress Selma Blair led the charge, writing “Sending love” while Paris Hilton dropped three red hearts and sent her love to the family.
