Sheryl Lee Ralph wants to appear in ‘White Lotus’ Season 3

Sheryl Lee Ralph is willing to add “The White Lotus” to her acting resume.

The actress is loved in Hollywood, especially since her breakout performance as Barbara Howard in ABC’s mockumentary sitcom “Abbott Elementary.” This role earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, making her the first black woman to win in 35 years. Now it seems that Ralph is ready for a new acting role and he is not against appearing in the third season of “The White Lotus”.

Ralph — a Critics Choice Awards winner — shared a story about meeting The White Lotus alum and the night’s other winner, Jennifer Coolidge, years ago and showering her with praise. He said:

“Look, I met Jennifer in New Orleans a few years ago, and she’s exactly what you think she is. So when I see her joy and her happiness and her victory, it’s proof to me that no matter what you look like, no matter how old you are, you just have to stay in the moment and embrace it, and I embrace it as Jennifer Coolidge. He deserves it.”

During an interview with E! news, the “Motherland: Fort Salem” actress was asked if she was likely to join the upcoming season of the HBO series. Ralph said, “Honey, please!” before enthusiastically singing, “Call me. Don’t be afraid to just call.”

A female reporter playing the director of the cast suggested Coolidge a guest role on the 66-year-old actor’s current affairs show. Ralph agreed that it would be “great,” before adding, “But it all depends on my boss, Quinta Brunson.”

The alternate talk affected the shows or movies Ralph was watching; revealed that he watched “Everything, All Together, All At Once, Today, Tomorrow, Every day” because he was part of the Academy Awards voting committee.

The HBO series “The White Lotus” quickly became a favorite of critics and fans, but it was also a real hit with the actors. The third season has started rolling and according to The Blastit will focus on new characters and a new location.

The show originally debuted in July 2021 and is set in Hawaii. However, in regards to the renewal, HBO officials have announced that a new set of visitors will be coming to another White Lotus property next season. As reported, series creator, writer and director Mike White stated:

“There’s no place I’d rather work than HBO, and no people I’d rather work with than Casey Bloys, Francesca Orsi, Nora Skinner and their incredible team. I feel fortunate to have been given this opportunity again and excited to reunite with my amazingly talented collaborators on ‘The White Lotus.’”

In fact, the new season will bring more success to the premium network, as the show reportedly won the most Emmys of any show last year, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

The ‘Abbott Elementary’ star is aiming for EGOT status

Blast shared this Ralph talked about his future plans, including aiming for EGOT status. On the heels of his historic Emmy win, Ralph joins John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Audrey Hepburn, Whoopi Goldberg and 13 others to win the four GOAT awards: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. While receiving her award, the former singer stunned the audience with a fantastic speech. He said:

“Everyone who has ever had a dream and believed that their dream could not come true, did not want to, could not come true. I’m here to tell you: this is what faith looks like. This is what aspiration looks like. Never, ever give up on you, because when you get a Quinta Brunson in the corner, when you get a husband like mine, when you get kids like mine, and when I have friends like everyone who voted for me, cheered for me, beloved – thank you!”

The 66-year-old shared that she is producing a new Broadway play with actress Audra McDonald; then remarked, “I have an Emmy, so why doesn’t it go to the EGOT?”
