Instead of taking her usual host spot, the former Miss Tennessee Teen USA champion became a guest on the show. He switched places with Patrick Custer, a celebrated advocate for mental health and addiction awareness.

The Sassy by Savannah founder allowed the “Rooted Recovery Stories” host to take the lead, allowing her to share her heartbreaking story from her youth. According to the media personality, he tried to end his life during a mental health crisis.

“I didn’t have a life-or-death experience, but I tried to commit suicide, so that was probably my life-or-death experience,” the model admitted. “But for me it was more of a cry for help.”

The property tycoon’s daughter explained that the near-tragic incident became a blur, noting that her suicide attempt occurred around the age of 15 or 16. The entrepreneur believed it happened when his family started filming their first reality TV series.

“It’s so crazy because when you go through so much trauma, I feel like your mind just blocks it,” Chrisley claimed. “I also feel like there were some side effects of what I did and it affected my memory, but it was all a blur.”

Despite her poor memory of the timeline, the socialite clearly remembered the consequences of her actions. Continuing the story, the 25-year-old said: “I remember waking up in the hospital and my parents were there and they were having discussions.”

“Even back then, I remember lying to the doctors because I didn’t want them to keep me in the hospital,” the host admitted, adding that she told people, “There’s nothing wrong with me; it was just a bad moment.”

The “Growing Up Chrisley” star noted that it was difficult to survive the near-death experience and then show her life to the world on TV. “All I remember is changing. Like, I was fine,” he said. “You know, it was like a hiccup. I’m fine; I’m not crazy.”

Although mental health has been a personal battle, the podcaster didn’t have to go through his ordeal alone. The blonde beauty thanked her parents, especially the patriarch of the family, for supporting her recovery.

His proud daughter, who heaped praise on the businessman, said: “My father spent countless hours with me every day just trying to get me to talk. He tells his life story, his trauma.

“He’s trying to let me know, ‘Hey, I’m not the perfect person you always thought I was. I’ve been through things in my life too. I had trauma. I want you to feel good. And he’s talking about me. And it took a while,” Chrisley concluded.

“Right now I’m in a rage of grief. I’m just angry about everything. And even after taking on the children. I say, ‘Okay. do i want children I? You know, seeing how it all affected us?” lamented the blonde entertainer.

Despite having doubts about his parentage, the ‘Royal Pains’ alum revealed that he enjoyed raising the younger Chrisleys; however, it was not easy. “I try to be a good adult figure in their lives, but it’s hard being 25 and having two kids and trying to figure out what’s best for them.” admitted the reality TV star.
