“Sarah, Duchess of York, was recently diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer that was detected during a routine screening mammogram,” the source announced. “He was advised to have surgery, which was done successfully.”
The spokesperson shed light on the current condition of the “Heart for a Compass” writer, who explained that the media personality is on the road to recovery. “The princess is receiving the best medical care and her doctors have told her the prognosis is good,” the insider claimed.
“He is now recovering with his family. The Duchess would like to express her huge gratitude to all the medical staff who have supported her recently,” the representative continued, adding that the 63-year-old hoped her experience would inspire others to get regular check-ups.

A rep for the princess also revealed that she recorded a podcast episode the day before her scheduled surgery. Ferguson’s breast cancer diagnosis comes a month after the mother of two announced her new business venture.
In May, the media personality updated her Instagram page with her podcast “Tea Talks with the Princess and Sarah.” Prince Andrew’s ex-wife shared a promotional picture for the show, posing with co-host and longtime friend Sarah Thompson.
