Priyanka Chopra he recently opened up about a botched nose job that nearly derailed his acting career. The surgery left him looking “completely different” and losing out on three film projects.

Priyanka Chopra revealed that her broken nose left her feeling “depressed” and unable to work. In an interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” the “Citadel” actress shared that in the summer of 2001, she had a polyp in her nasal cavity and her doctor advised her to have surgery to remove it.
Unfortunately, the surgery didn’t go as planned, so she got a “completely different” appearance. “While shaving the octopus, the doctor accidentally shaved the bridge of my nose and the bridge collapsed,” he recalled. The 40-year-old also revealed that it was difficult for her to leave home, but her late father encouraged her to have corrective surgery. “He said, ‘I’ll be in the room with you.’ He put his arms around me and helped me regain my confidence,” she said.

After facing setbacks due to her malfunctioning nose, Chopra finally made her film debut in the 2002 film ‘Thamizhan’. However, her appearance in the 2003 film ‘The Hero: A Spy’s Love Story’ helped her regain her confidence and find her footing in the industry again.
The former Miss India World credits director Anil Sharma for giving her a chance when the odds were against her. She opened up about her ordeal, sharing, “I was supposed to play this lead role and they turned me into a supporting character. The filmmaker was very nice.”
“When the tide was against me, he said, ‘This is going to be a small part, but give it your all.’ And I did,” he added.

Since then, she has appeared in several films, including the 2019 rom-com ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ and ‘The Matrix Resurrections’. He currently stars in the Amazon Prime series, “Citadel,” which has been renewed for a second season, alongside “Game of Thrones” star Richard Madden.
Chopra has undergone several corrective surgeries on her nose throughout her career. He learned to accept his slightly different appearance and made peace with it. “Now when I look in the mirror, I’m not surprised anymore,” she shared. “I made peace with this slightly different me.”
