Priscilla Presley requested to be buried next to her ex-husband and music icon Elvis Presley. He was involved in a legal dispute with his grandson, Riley Keough, and asked for their trial to be held recently.

Based on TMZ, Priscilla’s request was immediately denied as Elvis was buried between his parents. Granting his request would mean moving their headstones to make room, which is not possible for the family.

Priscilla said, “I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon, though.” My family wishes that when the time comes, I will be laid to rest with my daughter and the love of my life. We appreciate the love from all the fans.”

Two weeks after Lisa Marie’s untimely death in January, Priscilla filed a petition for Lisa Marie’s wealthy trust. Riley was reportedly angry about the lawsuit at the time, but did not object. The dispute between the two women dragged on since Lisa Marie’s death until recently.

At Tuesday’s hearing, Riley’s attorney, Justin Gold, announced to Judge Lynn Scaduto that the women had agreed to a settlement. Gold also shared that he plans to file a motion with the court to seal the details of Riley and Priscilla’s pay.

The women’s attorneys also announced in court that the dispute was settled in a second trust case involving Lisa Marie’s insurance policies, which could reach up to $35 million. Judge Scaduto scheduled the next hearing for August 4, where he will officially approve both settlements.

The family is satisfied with the arrangement

Priscilla’s attorney, Ronson Shamoun, spoke with her People magazine and said his client was satisfied with the settlement. He said: “Families are happy, united, together and excited about the future.” Asked if Riley was happy with the settlement, Shamoun said he would never have “agreed to the settlement if he wasn’t happy with it.”

While Lisa Marie was still alive, she always supported Riley, especially during her messy divorce and child custody battle with ex-husband Michael Lockwood. However, he was not on good terms with his mother, Priscilla, and they “barely spoke” before her death.

The rift between mother and daughter was caused by Priscilla’s side with Michael during custody disputes over their twin daughters. Despite their silent battles, Priscilla and Lisa Marie were still seen together at the premiere of “Elvis” starring Austin Butler.

They wanted to reinstate Priscilla Presley as trustee

Priscilla filed her petition mainly because Lisa Marie decided to remove her and former manager Barry Siegel as trustees. The will includes the late Lisa Marie’s rights to the Graceland mansion in Memphis. He also had a 15% stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises, which makes millions annually.

Lisa Marie’s fortune included two life insurance policies worth $25 million and $10 million, respectively. He replaced Priscilla and Siegel with Riley and her brother Benjamin, who committed suicide in 2020.

In her petition, Priscilla claimed that the Trust was not authentic or valid and that Lisa Marie’s signature was clearly “inconsistent.” The 77-year-old asked the court to restore her to the trust of the will, saying she was unaware of Lisa Marie’s amendments that would violate the Trust.
