While the FYC events are already underway, the ball really gets rolling on May 9, when programs must solidify what categories they will compete in. In addition to airing between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023, TV Academy rules require the series to air the full season on a national platform, eliminating the so-called hanging episode rule.

Nominations aren’t announced until July 12, giving everyone involved in the Emmys machine about a two-week break. However, after the announcement, the candidate parties must report any errors or deficiencies to the TV Academy by July 26 so that they can be corrected.
August will be a prime month for Emmy campaigns, and on August 7, voters will be able to watch videos posted by the nominees showcasing their craft. Ten days later, on Thursday, August 17, the last round of voting begins. The members of the TV Academy have until the end of the day on Monday, August 28, to decide which performer and program should win each category.
Finally, most awards will be presented at the 2023 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10, with an edited telecast of the event airing at a later date on FXX. The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held a little later than usual, and this year will be broadcast live on FOX.
