Post Malone Addresses Health Concerns Again, Insist On ‘Never’ Using Drugs

Post Malone has once again refuted claims of drug use.

For the last few months, fans have expressed concern for the rapper’s well-being after he seemingly appeared to be suffering from the effects of hard drugs at multiple public venues. Even though he has dismissed those allegations various times, the “Congratulations” hitmaker has again spoken in his defense, emphasizing that he has never used any drug paraphernalia before.

Post Malone Reaffirmed That He Has Never Used Hard Drugs In His ‘Entire Life’

In the latest attempt to clear his name, Malone — real name Austin Richard Post — sat down with Zane Lowe in an interview for Apple Music released on Wednesday 26. Although the sit-down featured a wide-ranged conversation focusing on his parenting, social anxiety, and his relationship with alcohol, it soon delved into his experience with drugs. Addressing the unending issue, the “I Like You” rapper expressed:

“I mean, first off, I shouldn’t have to really justify anything to anyone, but I appreciate the concerns that people. But then it just goes from like, ‘Hey, I hope he’s fine.’ But then the rumor starts that I’m doing hard drugs, which I’ve never done in my entire life.”

While he may not have indulged in heavy drugs, Malone openly acknowledged relying on alcohol to aid his music-making process. In his words:

“But now, if I do drink and I’m not doing a show or recording… And yeah, that’s another. I have a very hard time expressing myself via recording if I’m not a little f***ed up. It’s a good spot now because if I’m not recording, or I’m not talking to people, or if I’m not doing shows, I really do drink just to have fun.”

The last time the “White Iverson” artist had to address the speculations about using drugs was in April when he was touring Europe. As The Blast reported, Malone had uploaded an image of himself posing next to a pair of combat cowboy boots on Instagram, writing in the caption:

“hello everybody, I hope you’re having a great night. i wanted to say that i’m not doing drugs, i’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i’d suppose, performance on stage. i’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier.”

He then divulged that he had achieved his new look by significantly changing his diet, including cutting soda and adopting healthier eating habits. He did all that intending to be there for his “little angel,” whom he welcomed in 2022, for a long time.

Additionally, Malone shared that he planned to quit smoking and drinking next, admitting that achieving those might take longer. “you make my heart beat. i just wanted to say hi, and hopefully i’ll be posting more on here, my brain is in a super dope place, and i’m the happiest i’ve been in a long time,” he further informed his fans.

Asides popping up in the news for alleged drug use, the 28-year-old had done a good deed for a singer-singer, Gregor Hunter Coleman, after watching him perform at Glasgow’s Wunderbar. Per The Blast, Coleman had been invited to meet the “Mourning” rapper after his group’s recent performance.

Despite the excitement of meeting Malone, the pop singer decided not to accept a drink from him, explaining that he was saving up to buy a house. While some of his friends found it surprising that he turned down a drink from the famous record producer, the latter respected his choice and offered him something even more incredible.

He invited Gregor to sing at the official afterparty of his concert. When the “Rockstar” performer asked Gregor how much he would charge for the performance, the singer responded that it would be free because it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

What happened next stunned Gregor as the Billboard Music Award recipient offered to help him with his house deposit. The details of the amount were not disclosed, but the Glaswegian star expressed gratitude for the gesture, calling it a “bizarre” experience.

He further clarified that the recording artist did not buy him a house but significantly contributed to his house deposit.
