Attributing it to her genes, the 60-year-old said: “I always say, ‘Thank you, Dad.’ My father is Syrian and Brazilian. Acknowledging his lucky genetics, Abdul folded his hands in prayer and looked up, lovingly expressing his gratitude to his late father.
The Grammy winner also acknowledged his late mother, Lorraine M. Abdul, with whom he had a strong bond. Paula appreciated her mother’s fair complexion, which contributed to her natural beauty, stating, “My mother had a beautiful, fair complexion.” He admitted that he was lucky enough to have inherited “the best of both” from his parents’ genes, which gave him a youthful appearance.

At the Homeless, Not Toothless gala, Abdul wore a beautiful crimson dress adorned with sparkling diamond jewelry. He made a grand entrance at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to support the nonprofit, founded in 1992, which provides dental care to disadvantaged communities in Los Angeles, including veterans, the homeless, foster care and low-income individuals.

Even though Abdul befriends many of the women on the show and has known them for a long time, for now he is happy to be a fan from afar. “As much as I’m the biggest fan and I love watching it,” he explained, “it’s a lot of drama.”
