Oscar De La Hoya praises everyone else for raising his children

Oscar De La Hoya no offense if a dead fatherhe knows he had no hand in raising his offspring.

Oscar De La Hoya is out

The former professional boxer has a daughter named Atiana De La Hoya with Shanna Moakler. When Moakler married Travis Barker, she treated Atiana like her own daughter. No matter what, he was a four-year-old child whose father divorced his mother and never looked back.

But La Hoya is grateful. She realizes that she stepped out of a role and her daughter was lucky enough to have another man step up in a positive way. He also acknowledged the mothers and thanked them for pulling him through.

The whole awkward apology came during an interview Fun tonight. He had to say straight up, “Look, I didn’t raise my kids, you know?”

Tavis Barker was there

De La Hoya continued, “I have to give credit where it’s due,” noting, “I’m grateful that Barker was there as a father to my daughter.” Moakler and De La Hoya divorced in 2000, Atiana was 1 year old.

He admitted that he was an “absent father”. And she admits, “I have to be thankful that Shanna was a mother to Atiana… And just know where I’m at, you know?” he also made it clear what his role was now.

“My place – obviously I’m a dad and I’m proud of it, but again I’m grateful for what they’ve done. Especially with Barker. He obviously stepped up to the plate.”

Throughout the time Barker was married to Moakler and after their divorce, Atiana remained a fixture in the rock star’s life. Wherever Moakler and her children Landon and Alabama go, Atiana is always welcome.

The dynamics are heartwarming

Barker’s fatherly skills are probably one of the reasons his new wife Kourtney Kardashian is so in love with him. Now that they’re having a baby. Their own, this is another sibling that Atiana loves as a big brother.

But La Hoya has no doubts that this time he will kill his new son. “He’s such a nice guy,” says the athlete. “I have the utmost respect for him.” The model was last spotted with her large family.

Kourt and Travis’ daughter Penelope celebrated her 11th birthday^th it was his birthday over the weekend and Atiana was there with all her acquired siblings, her stepfather and her new wife. Of course, Moakler wasn’t there, the family isn’t there yet.

Barker is starting to look like father of the year with the stepkids he’s collecting. She has two biological children, one on the way. But in addition to being Atiana’s stepfather, he is also stepfather to Scott Disick’s children with Kardashian.

Mason, Penelope, and Reign have been spotted taking photos with their new stepdad, it almost seems like we’re seeing more of Barker than Disick these days.
