The Trinidadian rapper, whose fans know his obsession with the fictional character, couldn’t help but rave about the charisma and talent of the stars who appeared in the live-action version of the beloved animated project after attending its recent world premiere. He made his feelings loud and public on social media, reacting to a stunning gif of him and Margot Robbie posing on the carpet during the event.

In addition to being a talented award-winning rapper, Minaj’s love for “Barbie” has remained with her since she dubbed herself “Harajuku Barbie” during her MySpace days. The term has since become one of her alter egos, often appearing in pink-themed clothes, shoes, and hairstyles, and her fanbase is called the Barbz.

She even had a “full circle moment” by participating in the film’s soundtrack through her song “Barbie World” with Ice Spice. The 40-year-old artist’s pride in the project was evident when she hosted the star-studded world premiere of the upcoming Barbie movie on Sunday, July 9 in Los Angeles.

She donned a curve-hugging lavender dress with a massive midriff, a skirt with a black leather belt around her waist, and a sultry thigh-high slit. The “Princess Diana” singer met Robbie in person as they walked and posed on the pink carpet ahead of the film’s screening.

The moment and the official screening that followed seemed to affect Minaj — real name Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty — more than she expected, and she immediately shared her first impressions on Twitter. Citing the it beeps which contained a crystal clear gif of her and Robbie posing for the paparazzi and captioned ‘Barbie dolls 💝’ the ‘Pound the Alarm’ hitmaker wrote:

“She is strikingly beautiful in person. Btw, the entire cast of this movie nailed it. The film is visually very exciting. The actors can actually act and the comedic timing is actually on time. Bravo. I’ll take another look and give my final analysis on the 21st. Will Ferrell, I 💖U.”

The tweet received more than 10,000 retweets, 137,000 likes and hundreds of replies, including read, “Like I’m so over emotional right now!! I love you so much queen! You are very beautiful, classy and intelligent! The way you phrase your words is so divine! I can’t wait to see the #BarbieMovie n yes WE WILL LOVE!! 😍.”

A second fan he tweeted, “Is there anything in this world you can’t do? Because Nicki everything I’ve seen in the last few years you’ve been doing consistently, it’s awesome! A third person claimed that Minaj’s review was “the only thing that matters” and fourth he stated that he “enters the era of a film critic”.

Fans similarly cheered The Blast reported that the “Barbie Dreams” rapper scored a big Hollywood bag in April. As it turns out, she starred as the main superhero and executive producer of the animated series “Lady Danger,” based on Alex de Campi’s popular comic book series.

The “Anaconda” rapper will be working alongside rapper-turned-actor 50 Cent, Brian Sher, Paul Young and Mike Griffin.

Before the end of June, Minaj informed her eager supporters that her upcoming fifth studio album would be officially released as ‘Pink Friday 2’. Per The Blastthe “Super Freaky Girl” performer posted a picture on Instagram of herself in one of her well-known Barbie-themed hairstyles and matching high heels. The winner of the Kids’ Choice Awards began her caption:

“Dear Barbz, I’ve been trying to find the right time to tell you this for a few days now. Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you at a later time, I’ve pushed the album date back a bit. Trust me, it’s WORTH THE WAIT.”

The mother-of-one added after noting that she wanted to give her millions of followers “an extra sip of albumen tea” to avoid the “damn”. “The NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED 11/23/17 🎀 and it’s called: Pink Friday 2 🎀.”

Minaj then thanked her supporters for “years of support and love” before concluding: Nevertheless, you. will. love. this. album. I will give tours closer to the date, but apparently the tour will start in the first quarter of 2024. I will also share the REAL album cover at a later date.”
