Nick Cannon wants to stay away from Mariah Carey for the sake of his children
In a recent interview, 42-year-old Nick Cannon shared his thoughts on the possibility of remarrying his ex-love, Mariah Carey. The “Wild ‘N Out” host expressed caution, saying such a move would be “unhealthy” for her and their children.
Cannon and Carey were married from 2008 to 2014 and have two children together. Despite their divorce, the former couple remained on good terms and raise their children together. In a recent appearance on “The Jason Lee Show,” he explained that he thinks their current arrangement is working well and that entering into a new marriage could be harmful.
“That was over a decade ago and now we’re like best friends,” he began Insider. “I feel like with all the craziness and crap that’s built up… I think it would be too hard. One, I think, is in a relationship and happy. I do not want to disturb.”
Cannon continued, “At the same time, I feel like for our kids, which is the best thing and what we’re both focused on, it’s a much healthier scenario for all of us. Because if we were all in one household, especially in the age we live in, I think the enemy would try to attack us in multiple ways.”
He is not interested in remarrying
Cannon reiterated his stance that he is not interested in remarrying. “I speak so highly, but I don’t want him anymore, and that’s only because he’s moved on.” “I’ve moved on several times, so now we can live together the way we used to,” the “Nick Cannon Show” host said.
He continued: “But if I tried to recreate our love story that we had before, it would never be as great as it was. We’ve seen it, we’ve lived it, and we can tell this story in the grand scheme of things, in these milliseconds when we operate in these molecules.”
Cannon has fathered ten more children with 5 different women since his divorce from the “Always Be My Baby” singer.
They have twins, Monroe and Morocco with Carey; He shares twins Zion and Zillion and a daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin, with Abby De La Rosa.
Cannon also had three children with Brittany Bell; Golden Sagon, Mighty Queen and Rise Messiah. He is the sire of Legendary Love, dam Bre Tiesi, and Onyx Ice Cole, and LaNisha Cole.
The “All That” alum also has two children with model Alyssa Scott: a daughter, Halo, and a son, Zen, who sadly passed away from a brain tumor.
Nick Cannon on his relationship with Mariah Carey
In a recent interview, Cannon compared living with Mariah Carey to former President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin living under the same roof.
“Imagine if Trump and Putin had to live in the same house,” he said LA Times, as he began to describe their coexistence. “It wasn’t about him and me – we’ve always been good. It was more about understanding, rather than talking about our relationship, and what you want or what you want, we just have to do what’s best for the kids.”
In a previous episode of “The Hot Tee Talk Show,” he referred to the singer as his “fantasy love” and would consider marrying her again if their love was “what it was.” Cannon expressed his belief in love, but shared that he doesn’t think he’ll ever experience love the way he did with Carey.
“It was literally like a fairy tale with Mariah, so I’d prefer it to be like that and I appreciate that fantasy because if I tried to go back and it wasn’t the same, I’d be like, ‘Damn! I messed up,” he shared. “But if I had the chance, I’m there if it could be the way it was.”
Nick Cannon Says Marriage Is Just ‘Business’
Cannon believes that marriage is just a business transaction and has no interest in participating in such an arrangement again.
He told A. in his interview LA Times“As a man who built his bones, you don’t want to give half of what you built to someone you don’t even know.”
Although this does not mean that he does not take care of expectant mothers. Cannon previously shared that he doesn’t follow a disciplined style by giving them a “monthly allowance” but would instead give what his partners ask of him.
