Morgan Wallen’s two-year-old son was recently rushed to the emergency room after being attacked by a dog on Sunday. The unfortunate incident involved toddler Indigo, who suffered facial injuries after being bitten by her mother KT Smith’s dog.
Smith walked up to him Instagram Story on Monday to update, assuring her 396,000 followers that Indigo is recovering from the incident. “Yesterday she bit Indigo on the face and (Indigo) needed stitches and we spent yesterday morning in the ER,” she wrote Page six. However, according to Smith’s post, while the toddler is expected to be fine, he may be left with a small scar from the ordeal.

In a series of heartfelt videos shared on her social media platform, Smith revealed the story of her beloved rescue dog, Legend, a Great Pyrenees she adopted in April 2022. The influencer expressed that their relationship was deep and emphasized that she and the dogs “saved each other” during a challenging time.
Following the unfortunate incident involving his son, Smith was faced with a difficult decision regarding Legend’s future. He explained, shared, per Page six“We’ve been looking for opportunities ever since, and I just couldn’t bring myself to do what everybody says and what you’re supposed to do, it seems — what the world tells you to put the dog down because they’re aggressive.”
However, she firmly believes Legend doesn’t deserve to be euthanized “because he’s amazing and would do great with a family that doesn’t have young children.”
KT Smith, you don’t want your dog going to a kill shelter

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Smith shared her struggles with finding the right solution, adding, “I know I don’t want her to go to a kill shelter … and the shelters are full.”
She also admitted that she had to make the difficult decision to part ways with Legend as keeping him in her own home was no longer an option. In an emotional statement, he emphasized: “This is going to happen everywhere, and I’ll start by saying I never wanted to bring this to social media, but he deserves better. I’m taking Indigo home tomorrow and she should be gone by then.

Smith also clarified that he does not intend to respond to the incident with a muzzle. She believed that putting a muzzle on her would prevent her from being a responsible and caring dog owner, stating, “I can’t be a good dog mother (if I am) if I’m muzzled or a good mother General. The fact that there is a child, he is just very afraid of him in the home.”
She also explained that her dog, Legend, is “not aggressive towards adults at all.” “You can get in his face and do anything and he’s still such a good dog,” she stressed.
KT Smith found her dog an adoptive family

Smith explained to her followers that her primary concern is her child’s well-being and providing her dog, Legend, with the loving home he truly deserves. “I don’t care about the hate I get from this. I take better care of my child and give (Legend) the home he deserves,” he explained.
Smith shared that she weighed her options carefully, weighing her responsibilities as a mother and dog owner. Ultimately, she concluded that the best course of action for Legend’s happiness and safety was to find him a child-free home where he could thrive and live a full life.
Late Monday, Smith shared the heartwarming news that Legend had found an adoptive family. “We have just dropped Legend off at the sweetest family where he will live out his full potential and best life on a farm,” she revealed. “I couldn’t have asked for a better family to love him, and they’re from East Tennessee, so we can visit whenever we want.”
