They say music heals the soul and Morgan Evans knows a lot about how that feels!

Morgan Evans on using music to share honesty

The star revealed how she channeled her feelings into her music and turned her struggles into heartfelt lyrics. He shared that his new documentary, “Morgan Evans – Over for You,” which has just been released, is a five-part exploration of his creative process.

The Australian artist took fans backstage at his CMC Rocks performance, where he debuted his song ‘Over for You’ about his divorce from Ballerini. In the first episode, “The Return,” he talked about how he connected with so many people who could relate to what he was going through after performing the emotional song.

Off the stage, he declared, “I didn’t know I was going to feel this, I played it at CMC Rocks, but I felt a heavy chest.” He then added: “I felt I told it in the most honest, real and positive way possible. It’s the only song I’ve written since going through all this crap. It felt like I was channeling this kind of awfulness into something positive.”

The series captured highlights of his Australian tour, including his emotional performances, interactions with fans and trips home to spend time with his family. The 37-year-old described love as a “strange thing” as he recalled some of the good times in his relationship. He claimed:

“You never want to go back in time… but there are periods of life where you can embrace the positive, or at least acknowledge the positive things in different parts. Maybe that’s what I’m trying to do right now. Yes, it helps me to come here.”

Footage of her time at home with her family shows her having fun with her loved ones, especially her niece. In the last episode, the “Things That We Drink To” singer sat on the beach and tried to detail his progress so far.

He explained why ‘Young Again’ was played every night of the tour, saying: ‘I always try to look at everything very positively. I don’t see the point of looking at it from another angle. Lately I’ve learned that you have to feel things and sit with things for a moment and experience them, not brush them off.”

Finally, he concluded: “All things considered, I have a long way to go, but I am a long way from where I was three weeks ago. That’s all you can hope for at a time. I’m just very grateful to be in this moment.”

The Kiss Somebody singer took issue with his ex-wife’s comments about their divorce

The star expressed her disappointment over what her ex-partner said in a preview for a new podcast episode and her emotional EP ‘Rolling Up the Welcome Mat’. Per The Blastthe 29-year-old talked about their divorce and marriage.

In a statement, Evans called out the Miss Me More singer for allegedly not telling the whole truth and asked fans not to be nice to her. The former couple filed for divorce in August 2022 and settled two months later, and while the older singer has been relatively quiet about the split, she has since been in a relationship with actor Chase Stokes.

The short message read: “It’s very sad for me to see this person I spent so much of my life with and loved with all my heart say things that aren’t true and leave out what actually happened. You know I’m not the type to talk about these things in public.

He wrote: “If this is what you need to heal, I hope this helps. All I ask is that if you’re on my pages, don’t be mean. Don’t be mean to Kelsea, don’t be mean to each other. Life is too short.”
