Miley Cyrus and Disney are teaming up again, this time for a special concert for his upcoming album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’. It will be a new part of Cyrus’ “Backyard Sessions” and will feature a performance of her hit “Flowers.”

Cyrus started the “Backyard Sessions” in 2012 with the post of singing covers of songs like Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” Her hit single Flowers has been topping charts such as the Billboard Hot 100 for weeks.

The singer first rose to fame in Disney’s “Hannah Montana,” which aired on the channel from 2006 to 2011. In March 2021, she celebrated the show’s 15th anniversary with an open letter to her Hannah Montana character.

Miley Cyrus is doing a special concert with Disney

On March 3, Miley Cyrus announced in a press release that the Page six that he partnered with Disney again, but this time for a special concert. The singer revealed that she will be performing her new hit, Flowers, as well as seven new songs from her upcoming studio album, Endless Summer Vacation.

Cyrus also shared that she will be performing several of her previous hits and a new collaboration with Rufus Wainwright. The concert will also be the next installment of Cyrus’ “Backyard Sessions” and will debut on Disney+ on March 10.

The former child star will release his new album on the same day, which would be his eighth studio album. “Endless Summer Vacation” is the follow-up to Cyrus’ “Plastic Hearts,” which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart.

Cyrus started “Backyard Sessions” back in 2012 after sharing videos on social media of herself singing covers of several popular songs. These songs included the famous “Jolene” by Cyrus’ godmother, Dolly Parton.

He released his next installment in 2015, performing covers of Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and The Turtles’ “Happy Together”. The next edition was released in 2020, featuring Pearl Ham’s “Just Breathe” and “Gimme More”. Britney Spears.

“Flowers”, the lead song of the incoming concert special, has been performing exceptionally well on the music charts since its release. The song spent six consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Chart.

In the beloved show, Hannah was a teenage pop star living a double life as an average girl named Miley Stewart. The sitcom aired on Disney from 2006 to 2011 and was so successful that it spawned numerous hits and albums, concerts and tours, and even a feature film.

Miley Cyrus wrote an open letter to Hannah Montana

In March 2021, on the 15th anniversary of “Hannah Montana,” Cyrus penned an open letter to her iconic character. The letter was mailed to him social mediaand in it he talked about his relationship with Hanna and how the show changed his life.

The 30-year-old singer wrote: “We had an equal exchange where you gained extraordinary fame in exchange for the anonymity I was able to give you. But a lot has changed since then. You were like a rocket that flew to the moon + never came back. … You + I have been through it all together, my friend.

The singer ended the message by saying that Hannah will always have her “love and greatest gratitude”. Miley Cyrus also said that she will forever be indebted to the character and everyone who supported her dreams and believed in her.
