The songwriter recently appeared on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast about the most difficult moments of her life. She shared her struggles with showing her nude photos and videos publicly and suicide attempt.
When the “Melodies” singer was just 15 years old, she had to deal with her nude video going viral on the internet. Even though he tried to move on, the incident had a lasting effect on him and as he talked about it on the podcasthe shared how unforgettable the memory was and still affects him to this day.
The ‘Showed Me (How I Fell In Love With You)’ singer said: ‘It’s stayed so vibrant that to this day, if I get a call in the middle of the night, I’m 15 again. “, adding: “I’m in my room and I realize this video is out there and it’s terrifying.”

He revealed that some of the leaked videos and photos were taken of him when he was only 13 or 14 years old. The 24-year-old said she sent the videos to a boy she liked who was traveling between Los Angeles and her hometown. She also suspected that the boy was using an app to record Snapchat videos sent to her. The “Life Support” singer explained:
“I just didn’t think the person I was sending this stuff to would ever think of something like that because he was someone I’d known all my life. I was wrong.”
The “Todrick” star shared that he was sexually abused when he was six or seven years old. Although she refused to reveal the identity of her abuser and the nature of their relationship, the rest of the event, coupled with the invasion of privacy, pushed her into a dark place.
By 2019, the burden of carrying all of these traumatic events had caused her to start hurting herself and having suicidal thoughts. He said: “I’ve started self-harming again, which I’ve been clean for a while,” before revealing he’d attempted suicide twice but was thankful he didn’t succeed.
Beer revealed that he was just 16 years old when he first tried, which he recounted in his upcoming memoir, “The Half of It.” in an extract obtained by PEOPLE from his new memoirhe told how he stood on his balcony and considered jumping off. The actress shared:
“I don’t think I jumped. It was more about knowing that I could do it—that there was a way out when it got to be too much. Still, I lingered there for a long time, chilled by the fact that I wasn’t so afraid of being so high up.
He added that his younger brother found him, screaming for his parents, and as he climbed back, he was at a loss as to why they were in such a state of shock because he had become a habit of thinking about it.

Beer expressed his frustration in a now-deleted tweet that read: “I love it so much.” A sympathetic fan replied: “Trust me baby, we are too.”
The “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” guest judge then elaborated on his problem: “They do NOTHING to support or promote or NOTHING.” He also revealed that he had to finance most of the music video for “Reckless” himself as they didn’t support his vision, adding to his frustration.
