Earlier on Thursday, the teenager’s famous dad broke his silence and expressed gratitude on social media. Taking to his Instagram Story to share his first public comments since Bronny’s hospitalization, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar penned:

“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us!”

Amid the health crisis, The Blast observed that Bronny is an incoming freshman at the University of Southern California. Highly regarded as a four-star recruit, his exceptional basketball skills have garnered significant attention.

Notably, the 6-foot-3 combo guard participated in the prestigious McDonald’s All-American Game earlier this year, showcasing his talent alongside other top high school players nationwide.

The Crossroads School Alum Landed A Major Deal With THIS Athletic Brand

Bronny achieved an incredible milestone by officially becoming a Nike basketball family member in October 2022. The renowned sportswear giant recently announced their endorsement deal, including signed name, image, and likeness (NIL) contracts with five top amateur basketball players, with the teen taking the spotlight as the headliner.

Being the son of LeBron, it is no surprise that he would join his father in the latest business venture. As The Blast reported, the four-time NBA champion previously inked a lifetime deal with Nike in 2015, resulting in a successful line of iconic shoes, including the latest addition, the Nike LeBron 20.

With Bronny’s talent and his father’s long-standing relationship with the brand, it was almost inevitable that the college basketball player would secure a deal with Nike. As a Sierra Canyon graduate, he is undoubtedly proud of this achievement, and he released a heartfelt statement expressing his gratitude and excitement for the future. He wrote at the time:

“For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family. Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild — it really means a lot to me.”

As mentioned earlier, the NIL deals included four other exceptionally talented athletes from different Nike-sponsored schools. The sportswear mogul made it clear in their statement that each player was selected based on their unique merits and contributions to the basketball world.

These endorsement deals signify Nike’s commitment to supporting and nurturing promising young athletes, fostering their growth and potential both on and off the court. In their own statement, the world’s largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel noted:

“Each athlete is recognized as a player who is paving the way for the next generation on and off the court. These athletes push Nike to think about new ways the game can break barriers, bring people together, build community and shape the future.”
