Kevin Costner’s estranged wife Christine Baumgartner is taking another break to hit the beach with their child in Hawaii amid their ugly divorce battle.

The estranged couple, whose love story blossomed after they crossed paths in the early 2000s and tied the knot on September 25, 2004, have three children together. Although they’ve had a challenging year with their contentious divorce battle, the mother of three, who was recently awarded nearly $130,000 a month in child support, seems to be in great spirits as she soaks up the sun on vacation.

Amid the recent upheaval and media attention surrounding her and Costner’s divorce drama, the former model and bag designer was seen enjoying herself on the beach in Hawaii on Thursday, smiling from ear to ear.

The 49-year-old was sunny as she walked along the sandy beach with her hair highlighted. The doting mum stopped at one point to take a selfie with her 13-year-old daughter Grace, who was wearing a matching white bikini.

After spending some quality time in the water with his teenage daughter, however, Baumgartner returned to the lawn chairs outside the Four Seasons Resort. Before that, he put on a white blanket and a floppy brown hat.

As for the hefty chunk of child support she would receive from the ‘Yellowstone’ star, the svelte blonde beauty is said to be ‘relieved’ by the court’s decision. The same cannot be said for an ex who would part with the money. Remember; the divorce proceedings took several turns for Costner, according to The Blast.

The multi-talented star initially won a bid to have his estranged wife move out of their family home after she filed for divorce – under a clause in their prenuptial agreement. However, on Tuesday, July 11, she was approved to begin receiving a lump sum of monthly child support.

The German-American designer originally asked for a monthly salary of $248,000, or “alternatively, the prevailing rate of $217,300, payable on the first of each month. He also requested that the “Dances with Wolves” star cover 100% of the children’s medical, sports, extracurricular activities and private school fees.

Kevin Costner disputed those claims, stating in his rebuttal that his ex’s $248,000 child support claim included more than $100,000 in cosmetic surgery fees. The papers also highlighted the large sums spent on high-end purchases, attorney fees, significant credit card bills and other expenses irrelevant to child support.

In the end, Judge Thomas Anderle granted a short-term order that the “Let Him Go” actor pay Baumgartner $129,755 a month in child support. The Golden Globe winner must also pay $100,000 in forensic expenses and $200,000 in legal fees.

In addition, the former couple, who both filed for joint custody of their three children, must pay 50% of their medical expenses, sports and extracurricular activities. According to court documents reviewed by Fox News, those payments will be made “on the first day of each month,” with “a credit for amounts paid between July 1 and July 12.”

Shortly after the child support payments were announced, the “Waterworld” star has been spending quality time with her and Baumgartner’s three children, Grace, Hayes and Cayden – she has seven children in total.

A “pre-planned” getaway with his daughter and two sons put the doting dad off appearing in court on Wednesday, July 12. His absence was because the Oscar-winning actor had arranged a trip to British Columbia, Canada, with the teenagers months before the trial was adjourned.

As for the former couple’s joint custody agreement and why the children spent time with their famous father unsupervised, the former’s legal team noted in the papers:

“The children are teenagers and can go back and forth between his home and Christine’s home once she finds a new place to live.”
