Kelly Ripa says ‘jealous’ Mark Consuelos had a ‘tough’ marriage
American actress and television presenter Kelly Ripa shared that her husband of more than two decades, Mark Consueloshe had a personality flaw that caused trouble in their marriage.
Ripa claimed that her actor husband, who took over for Ryan Seacrest as host of “Live With Kelly And Ryan,” was very jealous and showed this trait when she was around other men.
Consuelos, for her part, noted that she has worked on herself and is no longer jealous, sharing that “Live” is her “safe place” to vent about her marital grievances with Ripa.

Kelly Ripa says Mark Consuelos was a jealous husband

The actress doesn’t shy away from calling out her husband for his jealous tendencies in the early days of their marriage.
Based on E.TIn a recent episode of “Let’s talk about the camera” podcast, Ripa, 52, told the “Riverdale” alum that her biggest complaint about their marriage was that he used to be “crazy jealous.”
“It’s very difficult to marry someone who is jealous,” she said, before adding that jealousy is a “hard pill to swallow.”
Ripa went on to give an example of when Consuelos’ jealousy affected their marriage just a week after they got hitched.
“We went to this Italian restaurant and the waiter was a very nice old man,” he began. “He must have been in his 70s, if not his 80s, and he leaned down and said, ‘And for the Principessa?’
He testified that Consuelos started a “terrible fight” with him after he ordered the water “in a very smiley way.”

Consuelos, 51, said she was no longer jealous after admitting she remembered the incident and arguing with him over her reaction.
“I was pretty crazy at 25, but that jealousy definitely followed me for a while,” she said. “I’m not jealous anymore.”
Ripa seemingly agreed with her claim as she appreciated that she was no longer jealous and shared that Consuelos’ “personality” was a point of prayer for her.
“I don’t know. You know, I think I went in there to work on myself, and that was one of the main things I had to work on because it got in the way,” Consuelos said when asked what had changed.
Ripa and Consuelos were married on May 1, 1996, and have two children together: Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 19.
Mark Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest live

Ripa replaced her husband’s longtime co-host Ryan Seacrest on the show. After six years as host of the ABC program, Seacrest announced his departure in an episode in February. Ripa later revealed that her husband would be taking over in a permanent capacity.
Seacrest joined Ripa on the show in 2017 after a lengthy search for a replacement. The Live Wire the author himself joined the show in 2001, taking over with Regis Philbin after Kathie Lee Gifford’s exit. Us Magazine.
Consuelos previously filled in for Seacrest several times before taking the permanent job, most notably in a January episode where she joked that she warned her daughter against going inside their house to have sex.
According to Mark Consuelos, “live” is his “safe place” to air his marital problems

Consuelos said she doesn’t anticipate any marital problems for joining Ripa as a co-host on “Live! With Kelly and Ryan,” he says Us Magazine.
During a guest appearance on the show in February, he opened up about joining the team, saying: “I think of it as a safe place. To be honest, sometimes I wait until there’s something I want to get off, like, “You know, this is what I want to talk about.” I did it here when I was a guest host because I’m safe, what could happen?
He added: “Normally nine times out of 10 it gets sorted out here before we go home. He had a bad time.” Ripa then hit back, contradicting her claims: “It was never resolved, just so you know. Everything is unresolved.”
