Keanu Reeves appreciated the helpers of “John Wick: Chapter 4”!

The actor, who is one of the most generous celebrity brands, showed this side when he gifted the film’s stuntmen with hilarious but unforgettable shirts. The shirts were worn as many times as each stuntman died during the Hollywood project, which for some was over 20. The move comes a few years after he reportedly celebrated the end of production by showing members of his stunt team Rolex Submariners.

Although earning the badge of “Hollywood’s Nicest Guy” is no easy task, Reeves has maintained the status. Fight coordinator Jeremy Marinas shed some light on his latest act of kindness during a recent chat about the action film’s scenes.

Marinas began with 35 stuntmen, focusing on a fight scene on the steps leading up to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Paris:

“Of course that’s what you want. You want 100 guys falling down the stairs and you want me to do every reaction and fall differently. Of course it is. It was like we were just on a work day.”

The cast and crew spent seven nights filming the stairwell fight, and every stuntman probably “died” four or five times. Their efforts were not wasted, as the coordinator added, per The independent:

“At the end of the shoot, Reeves made t-shirts for the stuntmen who were killed throughout the film.”

Reeves was the first expressed his gratitude for his on-screen warriors when he invited the four of them to dinner after filming the fourth installment of the franchise, which ends in 2021.

The Canadian superstar reportedly gifted each guest – Jeremy Marinas, Li Qiang, Dave Camarillo and Bruce Concepcion – with their own Rolex watch, with one costing almost $10,000 (£7,000).

The explosion reported that Reeves, along with franchise director Chad Stahelski, had publicly addressed the loss of his John Wick costar Lance Reddick after the latter died of natural causes at his home.

Until his death, Reddick was a well-known face in the franchise, playing the character of Charon in all four installments. In a joint statement, Reeves and Stahelski wrote:

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick. He was the consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends.”

After revealing that the latest installment in the franchise will be dedicated to the ‘loving memory’ of the ‘Resident Evil’ star, the pair concluded that he will be ‘sorely missed’. Other co-stars have since shared their tributes to the ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ actor, with Ian McShane expressing his ‘complete shock and disbelief’ at the sad news.

The 80-year-old, also described as the star of White House Down, is “a wonderful person and a wonderful colleague”. “The Wire” co-star Wendell Pierce praised Reddick as “a man of great strength and grace,” adding:

“The epitome of class. (sic) sudden unexpected sharp painful bereavement for our artist family. Unimaginable suffering for your personal family and loved ones. My God, my friend. You left yourself here. REST IN PEACE.”

The ‘Bosch’ actor’s death was confirmed by his rep, who asked onlookers to give his family some privacy and respect as they mourn their loss. Reddick is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and their two children, Yvonne Nicole and Christopher.
