Lopez, 53, candidly shared her thoughts in a video, saying: “You know what, I know a lot of people have been like, ‘Oh, he doesn’t drink, what’s he doing with a cocktail?'” And to be honest, I haven’t had a drink in a long time.
Reflecting on the past decade, Lopez admitted, “Years ago, as you’ll see from a lot of the photos I’ve taken, over the last 10, maybe 15 years, you know, I’ve had cocktails on occasion.”
He emphasized that he takes a responsible approach to drinking, stating: “I like casual cocktails. I drink responsibly, I don’t drink to get high. I drink to be social, to have a good time, and just to relax and unwind a bit, but always responsibly.”
What inspired him to create his own cocktail brand

In a heartfelt revelation, the acclaimed actress admitted that she struggled to find a drink that suited her strict lifestyle and ultimately inspired her to create her cocktail brand Delola.
Lopez expressed his quest for the perfect drink: “I have to say, I’ve tried a lot of things, cocktails. I used to like Belarusians, I liked rosé, but I never found one that I really liked, like, “Okay, I like this, I like to drink this when I drink it.”

Driven by her characteristic determination, the “Hustlers” actress decided to take matters into her own hands. He explained: “And like everything else in my life, I made it myself. I created Delola, and Delola is really about a healthier way, something that fits my lifestyle, to drink the way I drink, the way Jennifer drinks.”
Lopez went on to describe Delola as having beautiful moldings that were meticulously crafted to meet his needs. “It’s ready to pour over ice, it’s super easy, it’s something that fits my lifestyle, it’s not something that I have to try and work to get the right flavor and that’s how I created it,” he added. He also highlighted that Delola is “lower in calories”, boasts “natural flavors” and is gluten-free.

Lopez’s first announcement of her cocktail brand in April sparked a wave of criticism from many fans who saw it as a mere “cash grab”.
“It is. This is disappointing. Why don’t you create a NA brand considering you have been open about the negative effects of alcohol and don’t drink? It feels so bad for you. I honestly wonder why you sell alcohol,” one user wrote.
In addition, some expressed concern and questioned her reasoning behind her decision to enter the alcohol industry, given her husband Ben Affleck’s well-known struggles with alcohol abuse and his multiple stints in rehab to deal with his addiction.

One IG user called out Lopez directly in a comment on the promo video released in April, writing, “Wow. He is so disappointed and confused by the narrative that he explains how he doesn’t drink alcohol and all the benefits of not drinking. And is your partner sober?
