Jennifer Lawrence Talks About Eating Tuna and Garlic Before Filming Kiss

Jennifer Lawrence set the record for her stinky kiss with the actor Liam Hemsworth!

The 32-year-old actress revealed the moments of her infamous kiss with Hemsworth when they both appeared on the set of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.” Although she had previously realized that she had eaten strong-smelling food, she maintained that there was no trick to trolling her.

Lawrence was more than just a sight for sore eyes when she recently appeared on the quirky First We Feast series, ‘Hot Ones’. Wearing a navy blue dress and matching hair band, the ‘Don’t Look Up’ star devoured the spicy wings as she answered questions from host Sean Evans.

At one point during the 23-minute interaction, Evans asked about his infamous ginger and tuna-laden smooch with Hemsworth. Laughing gleefully, the Teen Choice Award winner replied:

“It was just what I ate and then we kissed! You know, you should get over it.

In case you missed it, Hemsworth talked about his challenge to kiss the Grammy-winning actress when he appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in November 2014 to promote “The Hunger Games.” He told Fallon:

“Anytime I had to kiss Jennifer, it was pretty awkward. From the outside, it looks like a great picture. She is one of my best friends. I love her. But if we had a kiss scene, he’d eat garlic or tuna or something disgusting.”

Despite his claims, the 33-year-old dude left Lawrence with an impressive quality that has stuck with him for nearly ten years. The action star revealed PEOPLE in 2014:

“I have a hard time standing up for myself. (Liam) taught me how to stand up for myself. I would always say, “Please love me! Please like me!”

“That’s my biggest weakness – with negotiations, or even with people. Liam is always fair, always kind, always strong. It teaches you to toughen up a bit, and that’s important. I need it,” he added.

Lawrence played heroine Katniss Everdeen in the first four “Hunger Games” movies — inspired by Suzanne Collins’ eponymous young-adult dystopian book series. The films took the world by storm, breaking box office records between 2012 and 2015, grossing more than $3 billion globally.

The “House at the End of the Street” star took back her words about being the first woman to lead an action movie

The Screen Actors Guild Awards winner endeared herself to a lot more people when she gushed about men being the biggest drama queens she’s seen on a movie set. Blast shared that the “X-Men” star took the opportunity to say during a roundtable discussion:

“I worked with Bryan Singer. I’ve seen emotional men, I’ve seen the biggest hissing fits on set.”

Lawrence and Singer – who was recently vilified for having sex with boys under the age of consent – worked together as actresses and directors respectively on X-Men. Lawrence’s quip comes after the director denied the allegations against him through his legal representative.

This also comes after the ‘American Hustle’ actress backtracked on her claim that she was the first woman to be cast as the lead in an action film. Shortly after making the statement while speaking with actress Viola Davis on Variety’s Actors on Actors series last December, he claimed:

“I know I’m not the only woman to ever lead an action movie. I wanted to emphasize how good it feels. And what I meant with Viola was to debunk these old myths that you hear about… the chatter that you hear around things like this. But that was my blunder and it came out wrong. I was nervous to talk to a living legend.”
