When White asked if she got into acting for longevity, the actress admitted that her “fatal mistake” and one of her long-time regrets was starting without a strategy and not “riding the wave” in the 1990s.
“Now that I’m old enough to look back on my life and of course my mistakes, I see a lot of that. But I never had a strategy. I just went from job to job, he explained.
Coolidge continued, “I have to say, I made the terrible mistake of not riding the wave that I had early on. It was kind of in the ’90s when we had “Legally Blonde,” “Best in Show,” and “American Pie.” Then there was ‘Cinderella Story’ and stuff like that.”

During her conversation with White, the “Shotgun Wedding” actress candidly admitted that she didn’t “ride the wave” because she was distracted by other commitments and personal matters at the time. Reflecting on that period, he acknowledged the need for better focus and the ability to prioritize career options.
“… But there was a moment. There was a wave that I could have ridden, but I got distracted,” the actress noted. As for the exact reason he was distracted, Coolidge stated, “I started chasing the guys.”
He added: “I wasn’t paying attention. I just thought I had my whole life. I never said “I want to do…” I got a few jobs, but I didn’t have a plan. And I think that was a fatal mistake because it took so long to get anything going later. I look back and ask, “What was I thinking?” Then I bought a house in New Orleans and dove into fixing it up.

The “Gravity Falls” alum attended the screening of “The White Lotus” season three, sharing her prediction about what will happen to (Tanya’s husband) Greg, played by Jon Gries.
“I hope Jon didn’t finish off Greg.” I hope there will be some solution for evil Greg. I don’t think I even know how to put it in a meat grinder,” he stated.
Coolidge also admitted that saying goodbye to her character on the show was a challenge, as writer Mike White was looking for a “grand Italian operatic ending” and wanted her to die for a number of reasons.
“But I also think that Tanya is a lot.” Maybe in another season people will get sick of it. Maybe people would say, “Oh my God. Get rid of Tanya!” he admitted.

In the series, Coolidge’s character Tanya dies after discovering Greg’s murderous plan, prompting her to go on a shooting spree on a yacht, killing the group of gays Greg hired to kill her. He fell into the water and died after trying to get to safety after the rampage.
When asked about filming the scene, Coolidge said he would “never get on a ship again.”
“I freaked out because we shot it properly, we hung out with the guys,” he said. “It was an honest feeling. I wanted to kill them all.”
“I think my clumsiness with the gun helped,” Coolidge added. “We had to reshoot many times. “Where’s the gun?” The inside of the bag is black. I can not find it. But it all felt real. When you’re on a ship in the middle of the ocean with nowhere to go, what if your cast mates hate you? They could pressure you. Anyone can get rid of you on a ship.”
