Hoda Kotb appears confused for the first time on the “Ma” show

Hoda Kotb returned to the “Today” show.

“Hello friends Everyone is wondering where @hodakotb is. He was out for a week. The best thing you can do at this time is to keep him in your prayers. HE’S COMING BACK! I’m sure,” one person tweeted.

One worried viewer wrote: “When are you coming back??”

“We miss you…everything seems so secret, I hope everything is ok,” wrote another.

“Where is Hoda Kotb for being out for almost 2 weeks. Can someone please tell me if everything is ok? Or vacation? asked this viewer.

“Today” anchors confirmed that Hoda is fine; however, he was dealing with a family health issue.

During her return home, Hoda opened up about her absence, telling viewers: “My youngest Hope was in ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little over a week. I’m so thankful you’re home. He came home. I’ve been waiting for this day to come and we’re keeping a close eye on him. I’m just so happy.”

It’s understandable why she posted a cryptic quote with her daughter’s name.

The post read, “Choose hope.”

Today, she posted another message about “hope,” which read, “If you choose hope, anything is possible.”

The quote is from the late Christopher Reeve.

Unfortunately, Hoda looked very confused during his return for obvious reasons.

Guthrie tried to pick her up during a segment on Girl Scout Cookies when she compared her pink suit to a “Raspberry Rally” cookie.

Hoda looked very disinterested during the segment, looking straight into the camera as if to say, “Are you done?”

Hoda thanks Savannah for friends like you

She didn’t say what her daughter’s illness was, but she told Guthrie, “You know what I’ve found, Savannah, is when your child is sick, you have so much gratitude for the people who help you. So I’m thankful for the doctors at Weill Cornell who were amazing and the nurses, and I’m thankful for my family and friends like you who were there every single day. So I want to, I want to tell you this. I love you.”

Her co-host replied: “I love you too. You have a lot of friends out there.”

Guthrie recently battled COVID and was taken off the air after the first 30 minutes.

Around 9 a.m., Jones revealed why Guthrie had to leave so quickly and suddenly.

“It was an interesting morning for us. Like we said, Savannah left early. She wasn’t feeling well, so she took a COVID test (and) it came back positive,” Sheinelle Jones revealed.

He noted that Guthrie had “rushed home to rest,” before adding, “So Savannah, we love you. I wish you a speedy recovery.”

This is Guthrie’s third battle with COVID-19 after contracting it in January 2022 and May 2022.
