Hilary Duff ‘reintroduces’ herself from Lizzie McGuire’s Shadow with music

Hilary Duff remembers her most famous role.

While chatting with Josh Peck and Ben Differ on their “Good Guys” podcast, the actress talked about several things in her life and explained how she was able to do it reappears as its own person After Disney.

The mother-of-three said she didn’t want to be that character anymore, no matter how “cool” she was. He noted that for a very long time:

“People were like, ‘Lizzie, Lizzie, Lizzie.’ And still to this day, which doesn’t bother me anymore, but for a while it did, I just desperately needed to be my own person.”

The author chose music because he felt it was a great way to distract people from seeing him as a famous fictional character. “I guess I thought music was a good way to introduce myself, to reintroduce myself, and it was,” he said.

The 35-year-old revealed that it was not an easy road and it took five years of her life to navigate without outside influences to become the person she wanted to be. In his words:

“I remember when I was on tour and the mothers would come up to me and say, ‘Don’t ever change! Whatever you do, just never, never, never change!’”

He noted that it didn’t help him to hear that, even though he was sure they meant well. When asked if he’s still making music, the “How I Met Your Father” star said he hasn’t been working on new songs in a while.

She recalled that while she and her husband were vacationing in Mexico a long time ago, fans found out where they were staying and sang her songs all night long. He noted that aside from having three children to take care of, it was situations like this that made him decide not to play music for a while.

The couple, who dated for three years before getting engaged, exchanged their wedding vows in 2019 in an intimate ceremony in the backyard of their Los Angeles home.

Three years and a few kids later The explosion shared that she celebrated their third wedding anniversary by sharing some adorable throwback pictures on social media.

As well as the first picture of the couple walking down the aisle after their wedding ceremony, she posted a carousel featuring their trip together to a mirror selfie of the couple holding their tiny baby bump.

I don’t know if he knew what he was getting into, or that he wouldn’t be sleeping or sitting down for the next 5-10 years, but I think he’s pretty happy about it for the most part. Our lives are so full and I’m so thankful for the guy I got to do this crazy thing with.”
