Heather Dubrow has some tips for making a relationship last through the years!
Since she and husband Terry Dubrow have been married for more than two decades, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star shared some tips that have helped them stay in love and happy. Despite continuing efforts to maintain their relationship, the couple, who have four children, have struggled with issues, including recurring allegations that Terry cheated on his wife.
Heather Dubrow advised couples to continue dating throughout their marriage
Heather honored her 24th wedding anniversary with Terry with a heartwarming behind-the-scenes photo shoot. In the clip, set to “Cookie” by “RHOC” queen Jeff Kaale, the pair hold each other intimately, sharing a quick kiss, whispering sweet nothings and lovingly gazing into each other’s eyes.

They donned matching black outfits, Heather in a skimpy dress, sheer tights and ankle boots, and he in a two-piece velvet suit with a white undershirt. The “This is Life” actress’ joy was palpable through the caption, which she began: “After 24 years of marriage, this is my advice to EVERYONE who wants a happy, strong and successful marriage ❤️.”
Her number one tip will likely resonate with her fans in a relationship as she told them to “have separate bathrooms.” She then advised them to “date your spouse,” adding, “No really, don’t stop dating… ever!”
He then advised couples to learn to “let things go” and follow a critical piece of advice when disagreements arise: “Don’t fight when you’re tired and there’s alcohol on board. (Trust me!) The 54-year-old then reflected on her long history with Terry, writing:
“Marriage is a leap of faith – but if you’re lucky and work hard, you can live with your best friend and partner in crime! Like me and T.”
Heather’s fans and followers were duly appreciated the romantic update in the comments section, starting with this netizen: “You guys are amazing! And role models for your children!”
Another person exclaimed “loved these tips!!” and the third said, “I love you together.” “And you have/make GYMNASTIC-A LOT of money because it’s the most stressful thing in life,” wrote a fourth Instagram user.
Heather and Terry exchanged vows in 1999, two years after meeting and starting a relationship. Their journey as parents began in 2003 when their twins arrived – a girl named Max and a boy named Nicholas.
This was followed by their second daughter, Kat, who was born on October 5, 2006, and their third daughter, Collette, who gave birth to the Dubrow family in December 2010.
After it was claimed that the plastic surgeon had been unfaithful to her, Heather came clean during her appearance at BravoCon in October 2022.:
“Look, success breeds contempt. I don’t know who starts the (rumors). This is not the first time; I’m sure, unfortunately, it won’t be the last time. But at the end of the day, you need to know that you’re okay. You know what your life is and you just have to shut out the noise.”
“The Seven Year Stitch” co-host received backlash for announcing her child’s transition
The two-time “Married…with Children” guest star set the internet on fire when he shared that one of his children is transgender on this year’s International Day of the Boy. In fact, several people claimed that the mother of four went public with the news to “stay relevant” or even “create drama” for herself on “RHOC.”
The “Hot in Cleveland” guest actress immediately denied the allegations on her “Let’s Talk” podcast, where she stressed that she would never exploit her children’s stories to generate “content.”
After Heather revealed that the insinuations were hurtful and baseless, pointed out that the reason for releasing the information was to “physically and emotionally protect” her children. As for his family, the announcement was a way to remember who their child was and show their love and support for his journey.
The child in question is her and Terry’s youngest, who decided to become a boy and changed his name to Ace to reflect his new path. His mother’s announcement highlighted the new name written in the sand of a beach.
