‘GOT’ actors Kit Harington, Rose Leslie expecting baby #2

The cast of “Game of Thrones”. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie soon to be parents to baby #2.

In 2020, Harington and Leslie, both well known for their work on Game of Thrones as Jon Snow and Ygritte, welcomed their first child together. The couple met on the set of HBO’s hit fantasy series and married in 2018.

During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Harington gushed about his first-born son and revealed that he is a smart young man. He previously spoke about how fatherhood inspired his film Baby Ruby.

THE “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonHarington revealed that he and his wife Leslie are expecting their second child.

After meeting on the set of Game of Thrones, Harington, 36, who played Jon Snow, married Leslie, 35, who played Ygritte, in 2018.

The “7 Days in Hell” star told Fallon that their son is “going to have the shock of his life” and will soon be “getting a brother.” Harington compared the first and second parenthood experiences and admitted that he was terrified at first.

“With your first baby, you’re like walking on clouds and dancing in daisy fields for nine months, well, the man is anyway,” explained Per. People magazine, adding that “the reality check will be much shorter the second time around. You will become practical very quickly.”

The couple already have a son. News of Leslie’s first pregnancy broke after she posed with her baby in a black-and-white photo on the cover of UK’s Make Magazine.

During a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show,” Harington revealed that his son “doesn’t really get it conceptually yet” when asked what his little one thinks of his future sibling.

“We try to prepare her for it, we point to Rose’s tummy and say, ‘Mummy’s baby.’ And he points to his belly and says, ‘Baby,’” Harington said.

He tricked his “smart” son

Just before revealing he’s soon to be a father to a second child, Harington took time to praise his two-year-old son, declaring he’s “pretty smart.”

“It’s surprising, seeing as we’re both actors,” he said, referring to himself and his wife. “We don’t think we’re quite sure where that came from… He likes applause.”

The actor continued, “Every time he does something good, we applaud him and worry that it will lead him into acting. We’re kind of like, “Eh, maybe you’re too smart for that. Go save the world, we are sick, we had no choice.”

One of the perks of becoming a father is that it inspired Harington for his movie “Baby Ruby.”

“I think it was a real catharsis,” he said People and EWs 2022 Photo and Video Studio at the Toronto Film Festival. “My little boy was about 4 or 5 months old when we shot this, so I had just come out of the process of these two characters finding themselves as early parents, so I was literally exploring that in this film. That was a big reason for wanting to do it.”
