Gaten Matarazzo dreads seeing ‘Stranger Things’ end
American actor Gaten Matarazzo explained how he feels about the final season of his Netflix series Stranger Things.
Matarazzo said he was “deeply afraid” of the show’s end, as it had been a “defining aspect” of his life, noting that the show had provided him with “great job security” over the years.
The actor revealed that although he doesn’t know what’s in store for his character, Dustin Henderson, he wants his clique to overcome the trauma they’ve experienced together.

Gaten Matarazzo is dreading the end of ‘Stranger Things’

The “Stranger Things” actor recently opened up about his “deep fear” as the hit Netflix series nears its end after starring in it for about a decade.
During a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Matarazzo, 20, talked about what life has been like for him as he prepares to end the series.
“It’s interesting that they keep reminding me of how much people have responded to it,” the actor said. Insider. “I mean, it’s something that’s very important to all of us, and it was just essential to the growth that I had from my teenage years to my 20s. This is the defining aspect of the last 10 years of my life, practically the last decade.”

The host then asked Matarazzo if he was “bitter” that he had to say goodbye to the program.
He replied, “Of course it is. There’s something exciting about it, because we always want closure and see how these characters finally develop and finish their journeys.”
“But there is also a deep fear.” Not only is it amazing, but it’s been really good job security for a while,” Matarazzo said as they both laughed. “Back to freelancing,” he added.

The actor went on to say that while he doesn’t know what’s in store for his character, Dustin Henderson, he hopes that the cast of the series will survive the “trauma” they’ve been through together.
“I’d like to see a good launch pad for growth, and I’d like to see these characters thrive and move on from the trauma they’ve been through in the last few years,” he noted.
Season 5 of “Stranger Things” is said to premiere later this year or in early 2024.

Many fans of the Netflix series took to social media to share their reactions to the season finale. “So excited for season 5, sad to say it’s the last season, but now I’ve got some weird stuff going on,” wrote one fan.

Matarazzo suffers from cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD), a rare genetic disorder that affects the growth of the jaw, skull, teeth, joints and often the collarbones.
According to an interview Nobleshared that the Duffer brothers took his health into consideration in the film’s script.
“The steps are so natural. It makes me emotional to think how strangely accurate they are brought up every season,” Matarazzo said Looper. “There’s always a little hint in a weird little jokey way. That’s how I would joke about it with my friends.”
Matarazzo has been instrumental in raising awareness of the disease and has since co-founded the non-profit organization CCD Smiles to help raise funds for surgeries for victims.
