Star of “Stranger Things.” Finn Wolfhard finally responded to the co-star Millie Bobby Brownstatements about their first kiss on set. Brown featured Vanity Fair’s lie detector series and revealed that Wolfhard is a “lousy kisser”. The actor eventually addressed his viral comments and said he was completely “fine with it.”
Wolfhard revealed that Brown was her first on-screen kiss and said she didn’t know how to approach the scene. He said his confusion almost led to him headbutting the actress, and he would have been just as bad off-screen. Wolfhard and Brown have worked together on “Stranger Things” since they were 13 and 12 years old, respectively.
Wolfhard previously talked about the kiss in an interview with Jimmy Fallon and another Vulture magazine. She will be starring in the upcoming movie “When You Finish Saving the World” directed by Jesse Eisenberg. In November 2022, Brown was featured Vanity Fair‘s lie detector series, where the magazine asked him several questions about his experience on “Stranger Things.” One question was about his infamous kiss with Wolfhard, and the interviewer asked if the actor was “just a lousy kisser?”
Brown answered yes, and the polygraph confirmed it was true. The interviewer asked again, “So it hasn’t improved?” And Brown replied, “Not with me, no.” The lie detector confirmed that he was telling the truth again. When the interviewer pointed out that Wolfhard would be seeing the interview, Brown didn’t seem to mind and said, “It’s OK.”
During a 2016 interview Interview magazine, Brown also criticized Wolfhard’s kissing ability. She said: “I had to kiss Finn. Finn reacted quite well and I didn’t. I felt really bad afterwards.” However, the actress noted that kissing is part of the job, so she accepted and moved on.

During a recent preview of Wolfhard’s appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” via Insider, finally responded to Brown’s statements about their kiss. He said, “You know what? I was fine with it. The first one was like my on-screen kiss with Millie, and it was, but I didn’t know how to relate to that.
Wolfhard continued, “It wasn’t, it was just you do this thing and you’re going to kiss him at the end of the show.” He revealed that he was so confused by the whole situation that he “almost hit his head”. The actor also stated that he was only 12 at the time, so he probably would have done the same thing even off-screen.

During a 2016 interview Vulture, Wolfhard talked about the kiss and said they got it on the first hit. She then described Brown’s reaction, saying: “Millie got up and looked like she was disappointed. Then she exclaimed, “Kissing is wrong. That was a sucker. That’s what he said. It was the funniest reaction I’ve ever seen a person have because I was their first kiss.”

Wolfhard stars in the upcoming “When You Finish Saving the World,” Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut. The film, which explores the volatile relationship between a mother and her son, opens in the US on January 20.
Brown, on the other hand, recently starred in “Enola Holmes 2” and is starring in the upcoming “The Electric State.” She will also play the role of a young warrior princess, Eloise, in the upcoming action-fantasy film ‘Damsel’. The film follows Eloise as she discovers that she is a dragon victim and fights for her life after she dies.
