Faith Evans settles for a divorce from her husband after an unexpected affair

It was a complete shock that the singer even married Stevie, so unfortunately this divorce seems more appropriate than marriage. on July 3, the singer reported to the court that she had “entered into a written agreement regarding their property and marital or domestic partner rights, including support.”

He also submitted a copy of the deal to the court and sought approval. Radar Online has obtained the legal documents that so far state that spousal support and attorney’s fees, two previously contentious topics in the divorce, have not yet been made public.

The couple called it quits in 2021 in a shock move, with Stevie filing the paperwork. They didn’t sign a contract before the union, so the music producer remained open to what he wanted to do after the divorce.

Stevie wanted spousal support and of course Evans was having none of it, leading to the divorce taking years to settle. Shortly after filing the papers, he regretted it because he publicly announced that he was getting his wife back!

The singer didn’t care as much as Stevie poured his heart out, the damage was done. “Faith Rene Jordan I have hurt you, disrespected you and humiliated you in front of the world. From this day forward, I promise to listen to your feelings and be more gentle with your heart.”

Unfortunately, after Stevie realized it wasn’t going to work, he backed off and let the divorce go through. In early 2023, Evans accused the Love and hip-hop alum for stealing Sprinter’s van in the middle of the night.

He even had to go to court to force Stevie to return the vehicle, and he mentioned that he didn’t have a valid driver’s license and wasn’t covered by his insurance, a double whammy. Stevie initially denied any wrongdoing and the couple later told the court that the matter had been resolved.

The Grammy Award-winning singer has already taken steps to move on with her life, including a song with Queen of Bounce Big Freedia called “B***h You Want.” Freedia describes the album as walking the streets of New Orleans.

Immediately prior to this, Evans featured on a new track with Eric Bellinger and Slim of 112 for the song “Gotta Have Faith”. The singer has not released a full album since 2017 The King and I. Maybe now, after this messy divorce, he’ll have an album’s worth of things to say.
