‘Dynasty’ Star Sam Underwood Busted For Felony Domestic Battery

Sam Underwood has been arrested for a felony following an altercation with an unidentified woman.

According to reports, the “Dynasty” star was taken to jail on charges of domestic violence and was held in jail for almost half a day. The physical altercation reportedly led to the woman having visible marks on her body. Meanwhile, Underwood has maintained his innocence.

Cops have turned the case over to prosecutors, but so far they haven’t charged him with a crime. If that happens and he is found guilty, Underwood could face a range of consequences, including jail time, a fine, and anger management classes.

Sam Underwood Allegedly Roughed Up A Woman

According to a new report, Underwood was picked up by the police for domestic battery, which happened in the early hours of October 7.

The arrest comes after the “Fear the Walking Dead” star was involved in an altercation with a yet-to-be-identified woman. He allegedly roughed up the lady, leading to visible marks on her body, although she did not require medical attention at the time, per TMZ.

Upon his arrest, Underwood was kept in a cell for 10 hours before being released on bail. He has since denied the allegations leveled against him. It is also unclear if possible criminal charges will be brought against the actor by the Los Angeles Police Department.

However, if the case does go to court, Underwood seems to be prepared, as reports have it that his attorney has photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings that support his side of the story.

What Happens If Underwood Is Found Guilty?

If Underwood is charged in court and found guilty, there are a lot of things that can happen. On the extreme, the actor could be jailed for a period of time or fined heavily. On the other hand, he could be asked to attend mandatory counseling and anger management classes alongside participation in domestic violence programs.

The court also typically issues protective orders that prevent him from coming into contact with his victim, whether physically or through other forms of communication.

Underwood might also be expected to submit to the police all firearms within his possession. Violations of this court order can lead to additional criminal charges and possibly a lengthy jail term.

In the meantime, it is still unclear what led to the altercation or the nature of Underwood’s relationship with the unidentified woman. There have also been no public statements from the actor or his attorney on the incident.

Sam Underwood Claims To Have Evidence To Exonerate Him

The ‘Dynasty’ star claims he has audio and video recordings that have been turned over to investigators. The recordings, according to him, could prove he is not guilty of a crime.

Underwood is best known for his role in “Fear the Walking Dead,” the apocalyptic drama show that was spun off of “The Walking Dead.”

In the series, the actor portrayed Jake Otto, son of Jeremiah Otto, who led the Broke Jaw Ranch survivalist community, in the third season of the show. He appeared in 12 episodes of that season, starring alongside the likes of Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dilane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Mercedes Mason, and Colman Domingo.

Underwood also appeared in the second season of the TV show “The Following,” playing the characters of twins Mark and Luke Gray. After Luke’s character died, Underwood continued to portray Mark in the show’s third and final season.

His other TV credits include “Homeland,” “Madam Secretary,” “The Following,” and more recently, “Dynasty,” where he starred as Adam Carrington.

As for the big screen, Underwood only has a few notches under his belt, including “Hello Again,” “The Drummer,” and this debut feature film, “The Last Keepers. Meanwhile, his theater credits include the likes of “Candida,” “Equus,” “Veritas,” and a version of “Hamlet.”
