Dolly Parton shares her thoughts on Madonna’s hospitalization

After Madonna’s hospitalization, Dolly Parton emphasized that she has no plans to tour again!

Fans of the famous singer-songwriter will be heartbroken to learn that he no longer wants to go on the road after a long and successful career. The “Islands in the Stream” hitmaker would rather stay in his Nashville home, especially after learning of Madonna’s recent admission to intensive care following her rigorous training ahead of her anniversary tour.

After enjoying the success of a music career spanning more than six decades, Parton wants to stay home. The ‘There Was Jesus’ singer spilled the tea to several media outlets, including MailOnline, at the press conference for her memoir ‘Behind The Seams: My Life in Rhinestones’.

During the event, he admitted that the more advanced an artist is, the more challenging it will be for him to prepare for tours. In the words of the Grammy-winning singer:

“It’s always been stressful, now I don’t tour because I don’t want to be so far from home. We are getting older and I have many businesses and many movies. So we’re close to home and I’m just really getting ready.”

The 77-year-old explained that she had already canceled the conference once because her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, had fallen ill. He emphasized that there is a lot of planning involved and that he has “no plans to tour at the moment”.

Continuing the conversation, Parton admitted “Good doctors, good lighting and good make-up” for her obvious beauty approaching 80 years of age. The “Jolene” hitmaker had to rely on the aforementioned “helpers” because:

“I hate training like school. Now I do all my hard work, but I try to diet as best I can and it’s low carb, but if I see something I really want, I’ll eat it. Because I’m so small, but I still have a farmer’s appetite. I do what I have to do, I do my daily squats.”

The update comes amid Madonna’s recent health scare, which forced the 64-year-old to postpone her highly anticipated ‘Celebration Tour’ later this year. The “4 Minutes” collaborator was reportedly taken to the hospital on Saturday, June 24 and intubated after becoming unresponsive. He is now recovering at home.

The “Like A Prayer” singer, who has been recuperating at home, began rehearsals for her gigantic tour two months ago. To this end, he worked out six times a week with a professional personal trainer to maintain his “dancer’s physique”. One of Madonna’s family members spoke about the hospital incident:

“He hasn’t lived as healthy a life as he should be for his age and he’s worn himself out in the last couple of months.”

The Blast that illuminates the situation shared that the mother of six landed in the hospital less than three weeks before the start of her now-postponed tour. His manager Guy Oseary confirmed the news, writing on social media:

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a severe bacterial infection that led to several days in intensive care. His health is improving, but he is still under medical supervision. We must then suspend all commitments, including the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we know, including a new tour start date and rescheduled performances.”

An insider revealed that Madonna is “out of ICU and on the mend.” The “Material Girl” singer’s tour was held from July 15, 2023 to January 30, 2024. It’s the 12th tour of his decades-long career and he’s promoted it heavily on social media, with his last post on June 23.

In the update, the “Frozen on Fire” singer showed viewers that she’s getting ready for a concert with a root patch. Fortunately, the superstar’s eldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, did not stay at her beloved mother’s bedside while she recuperates at home.
