It’s a Small World is the opening day attraction at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California.
During the cruise, guests visit different countries to see how the dolls sing and dance and embrace their culture while humming along to the iconic “it’s a little world” tune.
Walt Disney World website describe this attraction like this:
Sing along to the classic anthem of world peace during a pleasant musical cruise. Cruise the Seven Seaways in a gentle 10-minute journey across all 7 continents. Go through vivid, fantastic scenes that represent the iconic sights and sounds of dozens of nations.
See a troupe of dancing lovelies from nearly every corner of the world and watch the Audio-Animatronics characters achieve universal harmony as they sing one song in many languages.
By the end of the journey, Walt Disney’s simple message is clear: it really is a small world after all!
The attraction was overseen by Walt Disney himself and was created for the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair in aid of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). It was an instant hit and fans loved the meaning behind the attraction.
