DJ Hernandez threw a brick at ESPN

Dennis DJ Hernandez, brother of deceased quarterback Aaron, has apparently had enough. Last week, the former football player himself blamed the media, starting with ESPN, for destroying his family.
Last week, the 36-year-old drove an Uber into the ESPN studio, only to be turned away at the gate. At that point, security claims they saw an unknown passenger get out of the uber, drop something, get back in the uber and drive away.
This incident happened on March 23 around 3:00 PM in Bristol, Conn. on campus. Oddly enough, this incident comes shortly after police were asked to conduct a welfare check on DJ after he allegedly claimed he wanted to break windows at the state capitol and ESPN.
Cops investigated the discarded item

When the cops were called, they examined the item in a white plastic bag. It was a brick with a warning to all media.
“It’s time for all media to see how media affects all family members. Since you are a global leader, perhaps you could control the media and messaging from brick to brick. Clean up!”
The note was signed, “Sincerely, Dennis J. Hernandez.” Cops also shared that they spoke with the security guard, who said he was “90 percent positive” DJ threw the brick. He was recognized because he is also a former Division 1 football player.
When cops finally contacted DJ, he admitted he was with ESPN but told police he “didn’t want to talk about the incident.”
DJ Hernandez was arrested

The former football player was detained for breach of peace. Police also informed DJ that he was no longer allowed to appear on the ESPN campus and that he could be arrested for trespassing if he violated this.
DJ “stated that he understood.” DJ has been struggling with his mental health lately. On March 8, police claimed they tried to stop DJ while he was driving a Hyundai. Once he drove through the grassy fields outside Cheshire Correctional Institution.
He then sped through a red light instead of stopping for officers who signaled him to pull over. Terri Hernandez, DJ and Aaron’s mother, later informed police that her son was “behaving very strangely and she thought he needed to be mentally evaluated in a hospital.”
DJ was taken down “after a short chase”. The police documents TMZ He speculated that DJ might be having a bipolar episode and also revealed that he had been driving erratically across Connecticut to get arrested because he “didn’t want to stay at his mom’s house anymore.”
