Bam Margera’s wife rejects claims she was ‘never legally married’
Bam Margera stated that he and Nicole Boyd they never made their union legal amid their divorce battle. The former couple had a wedding ceremony in Iceland that was featured in a now-deleted YouTube video.
Boyd filed for separation earlier this year, as seen in this author’s exclusive report The explosionand asked the court to grant spousal maintenance. He also asked that they be granted full custody of their 5-year-old son, Phoenix, and asked that Margera be placed under supervision with a “professional monitor.”

Bam Margera claims he was never legally married to Nicole Boyd

According to official court documents to which People Magazine, Bam Margera wants to dismiss Nicole Boyd’s divorce petition. Margera argued in the papers that she and Boyd “were never married, legally or otherwise.”
She wrote: “To my knowledge, Boyd has never legally changed her name to Nicole Margera in any state. Every driver’s license or other piece of identification I’ve seen on Boyd has the name ‘Nicole Boyd’ on it.”
Margera and Boyd had a wedding ceremony in Iceland in 2013, and footage of the ceremony appeared in a now-deleted video on Margera’s YouTube channel. However, it has not been confirmed if the “Viva La Bam” alum and Boyd ever received a marriage license registered in America.
They had an uncertain relationship

According to court documents, Margera claims she and Boyd had a rocky, “tumultuous and unstable” relationship for more than ten years. She also wrote that they had broken up several times and that Boyd “left my home and went to California with his family.”
The stuntman wrote, “But Boyd always came back to Pennsylvania soon and we started dating again.” Regarding their wedding in Iceland, Margera wrote that she was fully aware and understood that they were “not married”. She added: “Boyd said he knew and understood we weren’t married.”
In her documents, Margera also accused Boyd of moving her and Phoenix to California so that she could use the assumed marriage laws there instead of Pennsylvania to her advantage. In his defense, Boyd’s lawyer, David Glass, said Page six, “Nikki continued to live in California with Phoenix while Bam bounced around — Florida, California, and Pennsylvania again for a few weeks. California is the only venue for this divorce.”
Nicole Boyd responds to Bam Margera’s claim

Boyd responded to Margera’s allegations through his attorney, David Glass Page six. He said: “Initially, until recently, Nikki heard Bam claim that they were never married. They told her the wedding would be in Iceland and everything was taken care of.
Glass claimed that Boyd “lived with Bam as a married couple for years” because he thought they were married. He noted that the “good faith” belief and time spent together make him a “presumptive spouse” under California marriage law.
Accordingly, the model and photographer should be entitled to seek a legal separation from Margera. He also noted that he was “entitled to property division and spousal support, in addition to child custody and support.”
Why did Nicole Boyd file for legal separation from Bam Margera?

Boyd filed for separation earlier this year, citing “irreconcilable differences” in his filings. He also asked the court to give Margera spousal support. Shortly after news of her split from Margera hit the headlines, her lawyer revealed that she filed the papers because Margera had been behaving “inappropriately” in front of their son, Phoenix.
Glass explained that Margera was constantly under the influence and misbehaving before they were five years old. He said it forced him to protect himself and Phoenix from Margera.
Margera recently made headlines after her older brother, singer Jess, claimed on Twitter that she was addicted to the media and was on the run from the police. The former “Jackass” star eventually surrendered to authorities. He also made a video about Lamar Odom’s offer to admit him to his rehab center for treatment for free.
