BAFTA Awards 2023: Full list of winners

See who won big on the UK film industry’s biggest night.

At the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, all eyes were on “Quiet on the Western Front” and “Inisherin banshees,” Martin McDonagh’s pitch-black Irish comedy winning several of the day’s biggest acting awards, including supporting actor. Kerry Condon and co-star Barry Keoghan. McDonagh also took home the prize for original screenplay, cementing his status as the front-runner in the category at the Oscars.

“All Quiet on the Western Front” set a BAFTA record with 14 nominations, and the ceremony was a reminder of how much BAFTA voters loved the film. Edward Berger’s war film ended up winning seven awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

On the acting side, award favorites Cate Blanchett and Austin Butler won lead actress and lead actor for their roles in “TÁR” and “Elvis,” respectively. Critical favorite Charlotte Wells also won Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer for “Aftersun.”
