Bad Bunny found herself embroiled in a lawsuit filed by her ex-lover, Hernández, whom she dated from 2011 to 2017. Page six.

The Puerto Rico-based lawyer sued the Latin trap and reggaetón singer for using her “distinctive voice” without her consent in “songs, records, promotions, worldwide concerts, television, radio, and social and music platforms.”

His claim referred to his now-famous note saying, “Bad Bunny, baby,” which he recorded as a singer. He reportedly tried to pay her $2,000 for the recording last year, but she reneged on the deal.

According to reports, Bad Bunny used the footage in his tracks “Pa Ti” and “Dos Mil 16”. Both songs have garnered hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify, making them some of the singer’s best hits since he debuted in the music industry.

Hernandez is now seeking at least $40 million in damages.

Court documents also found that Hernandez faces emotional trauma because the use of the footage brought unnecessary scrutiny from the media and other outsiders.

“Since then, thousands of people have commented directly on Carliz’s social media pages and every time she goes out in public about ‘Bad Bunny, baby.’ This has caused and continues to cause De La Cruz to be worried, distressed, intimidated, depressed and anxious,” the lawsuit reads.

Since the lawsuit was filed, Bad Bunny has kept his mom updated on the situation and apparently prefers to handle the issue through the courts.

Also, Hernandez has yet to give a press interview to further explain why he is now suing the singer.

The couple began dating in 2011, after which they were admitted to the University of Puerto Rico.

Around the same time, Bad Bunny began a music career and reportedly frequently asked Hernandez for feedback on his songs. He also offered to help her with the logistical part of her career, including scheduling and accounting.

In 2015, they took their relationship further and got engaged after four years of dating. However, they broke up when Bad Bunny signed a major label deal with Rimas Entertainment, while Hernandez went to law school to further his education.

They briefly rekindled their romance in 2017, but broke up later that year and did not reconcile.

Now, Bad Bunny has been linked to one of the Kardashians, Jenner, after they were spotted hanging out together.

They dined together at Wally’s in Beverly Hills, California last month, but reportedly left the eatery through different exits.

Gossip blog Duex Moi also claimed that the model was seen playing ice hockey with the Grammy-winning singer at a nightclub one night before their dinner date. They were also said to have left the club in different vehicles.

Neither Bad Bunny nor Jenner have yet commented on their relationship status. In the midst of the rumors, it was Jenner, NBA player Devin Booker (26) deleted all the pictures of the model from his Instagram page.

The duo called it quits in November 2022 after dating since 2020.

“They both have incredibly busy schedules with their careers right now and have decided to make it a priority,” a source explained of the split. Page six.
