The Screen Actors Guild Awards have officially announced the 2023 nominees.

The nominations were announced Wednesday morning by “The White Lotus” Season 2 star Haley Lu Richardson and “Emily in Paris” breakout Ashley Park. SAG’s Instagram page. SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher and SAG Awards Committee Members Jason George and Elizabeth McLaughlin kicked off the virtual announcement.

The 29th annual SAG Awards will take place on February 26 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

This is the third year that the SAG Awards nominations have been presented exclusively via Instagram Live. The SAG Awards annually celebrate the outstanding motion picture and television achievements of the previous calendar year. Among the top industry honors given to actors, only the SAG Awards are chosen entirely by SAG-AFTRA performers, with 122,600 eligible citizens voting.

The Screen Actors Guild announced earlier Wednesday that starting in 2024, the awards show will be streamed live on Netflix as part of a multi-year deal. This year’s ceremony can be streamed exclusively on Netflix’s YouTube channel.

The SAG Awards previously aired on TNT and TBS, but the ceremony parted ways last year after 25 years with the Turner networks.

CODA won Best Cast in a Motion Picture at last year’s SAG Awards, and The Apple Original was predicted to win the Oscar for Best Picture. Similarly, after winning SAG Awards in their respective categories, “King Richard” star Will Smith, “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” actress Jessica Chastain, “CODA” actor Troy Kotsur and “West Side Story” star Ariana DeBose went on to take home the Oscar.
